Slightly skated, but this combo is really working for me so I thought I'd share. The tail is slightly shorter than what I'm used to, but the pop is great.

Quasi - Henry Black Sun - 8.25
Indy 139s - Stage 10 - new bushings out of a stage 11
Bones Race Reds - no speed rings
Bones X97 56mm
1in Shortys hardware
Jessup - sanded down

This setup is sick, I’d by so hyped.
How’s the concave?
Hope the wrist heals.

@fulfillthedream
I’ve always been stoked on that shape, I like the tiny tail.

I think the Concave on these decks is perfect - I'd say medium.  I find the kicks to be right in the sweet spot as well.  Not too flat, not too steep.  I've been on an AWS kick myself as of late.  I find that they pair really well with Ventures.

How big are the wheels?
I agree: whole kit looks real nice.
Venture lo’s are great.
The proportions of this setup are similar to the 7.75 on 5.0s that I’ve always loved. Good shit

How do you like the Slappy trucks? I debating getting a set last time I was at the shop looking for some 8.5 trucks, but I went with Ace 55s since I know nothing about Slappy.

Same question but specifically want to know how they grind compared to indys, really want to try a pair but I don’t want to shell out full price for stickier trucks

Wanted to try downsizing after a couple sessions on the quasi 8.75, so dropped to 8.5 and swapped in some narrower trucks. I'm in europe so this the weird price point wood, not bbs. We'll see how that goes.

The graphite powder is a lubricant that wont attract grit to stick to the bearings.  I was using it at work inside video projectors and other sensitive video camera parts.  Areas where you can't use a wet lubricant.  Just tried it one day when I was cleaning my bearings and have been pleased with results.  People can't believe they are not swiss bearings.

The good stuff is from 3m but anywhere that cuts house keys will have it too.  I think its maybe $2 a tube at homedepot.

They're fine I guess?  A couple sessions in they feel like trucks.  Sorta closer to Indy than Ace.

Was hoping someone would post a 8.25 with venture 5.8 soon. I just put my 5.8 ventures on a 8.38 FA but have 3 8.25 decks up next. Wasnt sure if i would want 5.6 ve tures or just run the 5.8s. im going to run f4 classic shapes so it lines up like this one. Setup looks good
