Palace Brady 8.1 - dramatic size down from 8.5
Ace AF1 44 hangers, venture plates
Spitfire f4 classic 52 prolly down to 48
Reds, jessup, diamond bolts
Blazer mid

Trucks were meant to be a temp thing after I'd slid through the AF1 plates but it feels good so I'm running with it.

Yeah it’s PS Stix - I think essentially the same dimensions as the Quasi egg.  Egg shape with around a 14 inch wheelbase (I believe 13.9”)

I think he means you take a regular Ace top bushing (12mm/91A) and a low Ace top bushing (10mm/91A), and you just use the regular one as the bottom bushing, because 12mm/10mm is a pretty good fit in most truck models.

Never thought of doing that, but it’s a pretty good idea. Maybe switch out a hard low one in the top to tame the wheelbite if necessary.

yeah they're the pop trading ones.  found them on sale for like 50 bucks (marked down from like 110).  had a pair of the Salmans when i was a kid and always wanted another pair.  kinda bummed because im loving them, but I know I probably won't be able to find more

the dickies, I ordered relaxed fit by mistake and was gonna return them, but I'm really loving them too.  realizing i skate better with slightly looser pants.  kind of have a 70s Serpico vibe that I'm into

Ran them like this ages ago, it totally works the urethane is still better than stock thunder rubber and they’re close in duro; The top as a bottom is a very narrow conical, very sharp.

Venoms shaved down a bit were my go to. Great rebound.

The hard low top would also get you back to the dual duro majik of the ace bushings.

Spitfire f4 classic 52 prolly down to 48

How does the truck-hybrid feel? Does it change WB and stuff?
And the most important question: Are you now able to reach the hardware on the Venture baseplate....since that ist a pain in the ass with normal Venture hangers

It just feels like a more stable Ace to be honest, I guess that would make sense since Venture plates push the wheelbase out more. Kinda weird to explain but the best way I can put it is with Ace it always felt like 100% turn with a pretty shallow center point, whereas the way I have it would be more like 75% turn and more stable on center. Regarding the hardware the front ones are still a little finnicky with a regular skate tool but I just use a drill with a pretty slim bodied socket adapter on it to set up boards so it's not really an issue.

Good looking setup as usual, did those Radials start out at 54mm or they worn down a fair bit? Could be the angle but they look skinnier than I imagined.
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

Ok

@ok , yea, my sweet spot for any wide wheels (not classics) is right in that 52-53mm range.  I'm fine with 54mm too though.  as @Mbrimson88 always says, the conical fulls get pretty gnarly once you get to 56mm.  the radial full 56mm are bonkers, but I have a set on a cruiser and they are a blast to roll around (but it takes some herculean effort to get em off the ground).

i'd love to see a set of 52mm radial full someday
