Mini Logo 8"
Venture 5.2 V-Light
Spitfire 52mm F4 Classics

Thank you Fletch for putting me on to these boards, I absolutely love this setup!

How is the mini logo board. I had one years ago and absolutely hated it but wondering if they have improved?

I see a person of culture.
As of quality they are made in China now and it makes absolutely no difference between the USA made ones.

I'm skating an 8 at the moment,  the kicks are very mellow
It has concave but where I want it. 242 powell/mini logo is a really good shape imo

I'm on my 2nd and intend to skate more

Magenta Leo Valls 8.25x31.8x14.125, venture 5.6, f4 53mm 99a classics, reds, jessup grip, ace allen 7/8

Finally got over myself and stopped trying to skate giant boards to feel current. Still slappys just fine, and I can actually ollie and flip it.

Round 2. The old board still had some juice left but it was starting to feel soggy and I super glued a chip in for the 2nd time. Also, the grip was lacking severely. Fresh shoes (Tyshawn's) and fresh board you are used to feel so good together. Purple top and bottom are infinitely better than pink though lol

Alltimers 8.38. Indy 149s that look stupid with the hard black aftermarket bushings. 54 SML Mike Arnold big wave wheels. Swiss 6 with some Jessup and Shorty's silverardos.

Time to skate until it's dark out.

Have fun. For me, new bloard new shoes is a scenario I try to avoid, new grip new soles is too sticky for my flick to work properly. For some reason, my shoes and boards are mostly done at the exact same time tho so I often end up in that position.

thank you! shape code was also
helpful. semi skeptical because you said there was concave, but short of a time machine to 1995 to
ride a world board, concessions will be made.

@overwaxed yup. from like what? 2009-10 on, the big board thing has killed me.
blah blah blah: around that time went out skating with some of the local rippers, all of em quite a bit younger than me/also more talented. they were all skating fast, in the street, you know, ripping. i was way behind the pack. skating a less than 8, with probably like 50s, their group all 149s, 8.25 and up, 54s. it was really cool to watch people that had been putting in a lot of work in the streets, their comfortability was noticeable, and in contrast my whole shit was so dainty and…under ideal circumstances, acceptable humidity, low wind, smooth ground, correct pair of socks, at that time i could land some flatground stuff going super slow. but it didn’t translate into the wild. they were taking tricks they learned at the park, and blasting them down hills. it was like two completely different activities, on the one side, growth, the other, trying to carry as much sand as possible with bare hands.
of course i knew. but i chose to become confused and start trying to goldilocks together setups. i started a slap account to attempt to buy some used ti indy 149s, that were basically a just for men-esque attempt to still be out at the club. every year or so i’d shamefully slink into a shop, endure the judgement, put together a 7.75 with 129s/5.0s and creep around, inevitably bumping into some folks, some wise-ass never failing to point out my pinner board. land most of my shitty slow floor tricks with tears rolling down my aging cheeks.
now, even older, some 20 years past when i thought i’d need stop skating, i creep around with my tiny boards and do all of the same shit, but don’t land much. when’s the last nollie flip?

apologies to the lot of you, this is the wrong thread for blathering.
 i enjoy the pics

ha.  don't worry, I'll get back on the Hjalte train later this year.  For now, I'm really enjoying this deck (size, wood, shape) and plan to skate a couple more Crail boards.  I'd like to try the G016 shape next.

This should probably go into the Big Board thread, the Egg Thread and/or the Cruiser Thread because it is not going to be my regular set up, but anyway...

Primitive Franky Villani 9.125" (snapped it up on a Go Skate Day discount for 68 Swiss Francs, which is a bargain)
Pepper (my first time)
Ace 55 Classics
Spitfire 58mm Radial Fulls (I think) 97 duro
Bones Super Swiss 6
Bones risers
Bolts

my last board broke in a day, i didn’t even want to post it.

dlx skate shop day deck, 8.5 x 31.8 x 14.25, I on the top, wish it was a IV because i like flatter boards but between this bottom ply and the teal top i couldn’t resist it

bent venture 5.8s with supercush 90a bushings and flat top washer

spitfire f4 radial 56mm 99a that are probably like 50s now

skf skate bearings which i’ve had for a year and they’re still great

pig prime bolts 7/8 allen

jessup grip

skate half cab 92s

I'm riding this exact setup minus the wheels and bearings. I'm on the orange spanky conical fulls with swiss bearings. Also mines a III on the stack and I have the teal bottom with yellow top and teal under the yellow ply. Love it. I'm even skating the dress blue 92's. I'm thinking about sticking with this shape for my main setup.

it’s a good one, works great with ventures. i just wish it was an eighth of an inch skinnier, but it’s not a dealbreaker.

Krooked 8.38 Tru Fit shape which is 31.75 long x 14 wb
Thunder 148’s Standard
Spitfire 52mm 99d F4 Classics
Mix of bone swiss and indy bearings
Adiddas Nationale Copa’s on the feet

Never skated a board, wheels, trucks this small in 10 years. I love it actually, i can pop without trying so hard and my legs arent as sore after a session. Going to run with this style of setup for a while. Only thing is that transition will feel a little squirley but maybe will get easier with time.

Genuinely not that bad, I don’t mind magic carpet, I skate 6.1s on a 9.81 krooked so I feel used to it, I use washers and that helps a bit, it flips really nicely and I think I’m probably just quite attached to venture lows from when I was a teenager to now but preferring wider decks :)

If they made a 5.6 low I’d be the happiest guy

Nice rigs boys.  Always get inspired when I scroll through this thread.

Currently riding a very old 8.5 on very old 149s with new 54mm wheels.  I’m just getting back into skating semi-frequently again, and itching to switch it up.  I wear size 11.5-12s and I’m eyeing an 8.75 deck with 159s.  Anyone running a similar setup and have input on whether or not it still works for flip tricks and such?  Not that I plan on getting too tech but would be nice to have the option.

if you have the legs/technique anything is possible
just have to allow more room for the board to flip
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Find a comfy wheelbase and you’re fine no matter the width (within reason)

9.0 Heroin double shovel deck

Ace 66's (9 inches)

Spitfire wheels i believe they're 56mm but I don't know much about them

Reds bearings

Indy risers

And finally Mob grip
