Krooked 8.38 Tru Fit shape which is 31.75 long x 14 wb
Thunder 148’s Standard
Spitfire 52mm 99d F4 Classics
Mix of bone swiss and indy bearings
Adiddas Nationale Copa’s on the feet

Never skated a board, wheels, trucks this small in 10 years. I love it actually, i can pop without trying so hard and my legs arent as sore after a session. Going to run with this style of setup for a while. Only thing is that transition will feel a little squirley but maybe will get easier with time.

Regret not grabbing this deck from my local when they had em in stock. What a sweet looking setup

Nice rigs boys.  Always get inspired when I scroll through this thread.

Currently riding a very old 8.5 on very old 149s with new 54mm wheels.  I’m just getting back into skating semi-frequently again, and itching to switch it up.  I wear size 11.5-12s and I’m eyeing an 8.75 deck with 159s.  Anyone running a similar setup and have input on whether or not it still works for flip tricks and such?  Not that I plan on getting too tech but would be nice to have the option.

Freshie
Isle 8.25 BBS: 32L 14.25 wb  7.1 nose 6.7 t
jessup :-| ( mob preferred )
Indy 144 hollow (standard baseplate) First Hollow trucks in 9 years of skating
Spitfire conical 54 99a (first time trying a shaped spitfire wheel outside 9+ sets of classics and 1 set of tablets
Bones Reds
7/8 hardware
Dc Lynx og Jahmir: 10 months in (on rotation)
 First time riding 144 indys.
A little steeper than my previous quasi 8.25 ps with a slightly thinner and longer nose but bigger tail
Locks better into nollie fs 180 tail/sw cooks
Wider around tail ( better for my size 13 feet)
Surprised by how much better bbs shapes hold up on me: no chips after 1-2 sessions
Hollows :easier to pop but I have a  more ghost pop

Nice. I've got an Isle on ice that I'll probably skate next.

5Boro x SP-One Shred Shape
Indy 149 Forged Hollow IKP
F4 53mm classics
Bones Swiss
Jessup

Always wanted to try the shred shape so I grabbed one. It's short as hell but pretty fun so far.  Tail is smaller than I'd like though.

Get hungry on it!

Minus the bearings, isn’t this basically Ronnie’s preferred setup?

should put 3 spacers on the inside of your axles if you're not already doing that then at least with radial fulls it's not that much of a magic carpet

Depending on your height length of your inseam, I’d look more at wheelbase and overall length of the board.

I find that I’m okay as long as my feet can sort of be on the board and not as much “in” the board. My preference is anywhere from 8.5”-9”

I’m 6’1”/185 and I either have shortish legs or longish balls.

For length and wb I’m inclined towards boards 32.25-32.75, and 14.625-15”.

Let the type of skating you do be a guide. Go to the small end of your range for techier stuff, and big for bigger stuff. Or try and find that perfect do-it-all board.

For tech, even though I myself have none, I would look at shorter lengths and wb of boards.
Polar has some nicer 8.75” wide boards, that aren’t too long

Sci-Fi Fantasy 8.38
Indy standard 149s
Spitfire classics 52mm 99a
Bones REDS
Jessup

Vans skate Half Cabs

Had a great session on this today, pretty stoked. Might change the wheels to 53mm conical fulls for crustier spots, but this was great at the park today.

Put this together for one specific spot (double sided curb that 159s will fit over/sit on top of), ground is rough in spots.

8.5"x31.6"x14"WB SC Dressen Everslick (assuming it's a 'stump' shape)
Blk Grizzly/Clear Mob
159 Royal Ultra lights (Bones hard top/washer + ACE hard bottom/flat sleeved washer)
53mm Bones x99 V1 shape
Bronson Ceramics (only set of bearings that have shields for beach curb skating)
7/8" Allen Bolts
