It's a pretty nice color but i don't think it was productive enough for COTY, I haven't even seen anything from it till this

Preme did this, either way I still voted for Milton for COTY.

It is a run of 100 so I guess 80 bucks isn’t bad for what looks to be a fairly well done wall hanger. Not sure if 100 people know that globe makes boards though.

I live in Australia personally haven't seen much of them around.

Genuinely curious about this. As Krooked antihero said, I've always just thought of Pantone in relation to like, home decor or printing and the like. What's the animus towards it in the art world? Enlighten this simpleton.

In terms of a color palette database of sorts, it’s pretty moot, a helpful for printers like Krooked Antihero up there.

But for example there’s a person that gets paid to just make a decision on color of the year and they get paid a lot. There’s a lot of snooty bullshit surrounding attitudes with Pantone and usage. At least in my experience. It’s like Supreme for color.

Ah, that's actually quite interesting such a parallel exists. It makes sense once you say it, but it's just nothing I'd ever think about/come across in my day to day. Much obliged.

I remember Plan B doing a Pantone-ish series and sure they weren't 80 bucks. Those actually looked good.

Curious about this, people always hate on dipped boards, but I've always liked the look. Why do people hate them?

Also, if an actual board company did this, I could see it selling.

When the paint chips on the edges (which is immediately), it looks like shit. I find the ragged, splotchy look kind of distracting when I look down at it. Also doesn't help that most dipped boards are all unstained plys, so they give off that Walmart complete vibe once all the paint is gone.

Beautiful deck imo. Also anyone hating on a full dipped deck that’s not going to be skated is ignorant.  Why would you spend $80 on a 7-ply just to skate it?

This.  Quasi, Real, and a few other brands do stain the plys though and it can look cool as far as slide wear goes but as soon as you miss some flip tricks it doesn’t look that great.  Obviously this is personal taste but a lot of people hate on them only because others do.  I personally like my plys being natural wood color other than the bottom and top but it’s not a huge deal... it’s a deck that you beat the shit out off.

If it’s a wall hanger full dipped makes plenty of sense.

Good to know the Quasi's at least have stained plys under the full dip. That Bledsoe Portland weirdly appealed to me and I still might snag one.

Ohhhhhhh okay. Unstained plys is pretty unforgivable in my eyes.

Thanks for the insight guys.

Just got a Krooked Zig Zagger a while back. Dipped black. Sanded it down cuz I didn't like the graphic or the black dip at all. No colored plies. Would have preferred colored plies but I can live with it.

Yes I am ignorant for assuming someone would purchase this skateboard to ride on it. Thanks.

Pantone definitely called it last year when they named Living Coral the color of 2019.  That color was everywhere.  Looking for big things out of Classic Blue in 2020.  Gonna be hype.

Also, the dipped boards hate started around the Big Brother era.  It was a push-back against the previous generation of skateboarding.  Part of the World Industries vs. Powell Peralta “feud”.  Silly, imo.  Skate what you like.

I don't mean you are an all around ignorant person.  Sorry, I should have worded that better.  I just mean the idea of someone buying this deck to skate it is fairly ignorant.

It's a limited edition deck that is made to be collected and the price reflects that.  Why would you pay $80 USD on a 7-Ply with a VERY standard shape and a full dip only to destroy it?  It's also Dwindle China wood...

It's obviously made for collecting and wall hanging purposes.  To act like it isn't is just playing stupid.  That's like bitching about some gold plated 1/10 golden knife and complaining about it not cutting as well and scraping/bending easier than an actual useful blade like S30V.
