Back in my high school days in the mid 90's, people I know went to grocery stores to take swigs out of hard liquor and put them back on the shelf. I used to see some bums eat like food and put it back. At least they have an excuse for doing that.

I use to work in a Blockbuster, and would find empty ice cream wrappers all over when closing.

One late night, as I approached the entrance to my local grocery store, I remember the vicarious thrill of watching a guy calmly bee-line toward his exit with a handbasket full of contraband.

His eyes locked into a thousand yard stare and I could see a silent prayer spool up.

Now they have turnstiles in place to prevent it but I wonder how much stuff is getting stolen now that many major stores have self checkout.

Last thing I boosted was an elementary school lunch.

I don’t shoplift anymore but i used to go to Whole Foods and fill a plate with food they had out for people buying lunch and stuff and just walk outside to the patio and eat it and not pay. I only did it like 3 times but it was a dif and whole foods each time.
