**Not defending The Bunt for putting him on***
What evidence has the public seen for his guilt, or even for his innocence? I have no clue what happened, and for the record, I definitely lean closer to thinking he was involved, but if we’re going to use Rogan and Covid mis/dis information as a comparison (I agree with your argument against Rogan, btw), we also would probably agree that cops and DA’s do get things wrong… again, that is not an argument that I think that they did in this instance… But they could have gotten it wrong. It’s not much of a stretch to argue that especially in the instance of a young, black man ignorant to the “real” world - “I’ve never clocked in before!,” the system far too often does get things horrifically wrong..
Now, that said, they could have gotten it wrong by letting him go. They also could have gotten it wrong by charging him. I don’t know. We don’t know.
If someone wants to jump through the hoops and get the records, go for it, but we are assuming a lot here based on not a lot. Like I said… I do think he was involved and it should be reminded that innocent, not guilty, and case dismissed are three different things.
I went to #jschool and think that they should have pressed him much, much more if they were going to platform him. His answer was an anxiety filled non answer, which is sadly akin to Jason Jesse’s ramblings on The Nine Club. This is sadly a misstep, imo. Finally I don’t think I’m aware enough of the evidence to 100% assume guilt or innocence but I do not like his answer in the slightest and it gives me the creeps.
