I got the shorts and the waist is close to TTS….I usually buy a 30 and don’t run a belt, mine seem about that…

I know this is random but obeys bigwig denim is fucking massive. I’m 6’5” and in the volcom billows and ccs baggy straight I’m 38 waist and get 32 inseam and hem them to like 30.5”-31”. But holy fuck those obeys are massive. They are brand new so I’m hoping they shrink up in the wash but they are def size 40 waist and the inseam seems more like a 34”. Nice color and denim quality but as I’ve been getting older I’ve been preferring a ever so slightly slimmer baggy pant (for context I used to love dickies loose fit double knees in size 44” waist and 32” length and just cut the bottom hems off) I will report back after I’ve washed and shrunk them and hemmed them.

Levi's 565 '97 current go to, next to silvertab loose. Polar surf for summer but much expensive for ripping on 1st contact w cheese grater ground. Levi's Skate "Baggy" for being ridiculously rigid durable; only doable in winter though.

Shoutout for putting me onto the 565, probably my new favorite pants. Perfect middle ground between baggy and relaxed fit

So I washed the obeys and they shrunk a nice little bit. Fit a bit better but are still massive but I don’t mind. Definitely good quality although I did take the back patch off and the embroidery on the coin pocket. Just got 1 more pair of them in size 36 tho so will see how those fit once I get them.

Has anyone tried a pair of Levi's 578's? I've been skating the baggy and extra baggy jeans from Gap, and although I've been happy with them I'd like to branch out a little more.

Okay so more updates on the obey bigwig jeans. I got the 36x32 stone wash indigo and they fit so much better than the 38s I got in the rinse indigo and the brown  im honestly bummed on the 38s now and will likely sell them or gift them to a homie. But I think I have a solid selection of pants now so I only plan on getting the brown bigwigs again in 36 this time (and maybe some black ones). But other than that it’s time to learn to do Jean repairs for me cause the bottom hem on my flicking foot of all my jeans are fucked.

Fashion is cyclical. They are gonna slim down soon enough and then in 10-20 years widen up again. If u didn’t have this problem now u would down the road haha

I love tapered pants for skating cause I can see my shoes

But I love the ability to don/doff pants without taking my shoes off more I think

Maybe it's cause I wear high tops and lace em snug

So I gotta either cuff em higher or tuck em into my socks like a teenage dutch graffiti writer or something

I used to ride my bike everywhere so I'm already used to that

Kinda hate when my pants cover my whole damn shoe and I can't see shit

But I like having the extra length to roll down or untuck for cold or mosquitos

And straight leg to fit over boots and shit

But as far as baggy pants for skating go

The tapered ones are the best

I remember the kids at my high school would put rubber bands at the bottom of their pants so their raw marithe Francois girbauds wouldn't turn their gas station rep air force ones blue

That 80's ass cuff is fun too, the pin roll.. used to do that to keep my shit out of my chain too

Favorite pants to skate in are prolly those Levi's 560? I don't exactly remember which ones but they were like 550s but higher rise and baggier

But I live in my van sometimes and I just been sticking to 874s and Carhartt b01s and b11s. And the Dickies 1993 carpenter jeans

I have some butter goods santuosso jeans on the way but I was wondering if they would shrink in the wash. My true waist size is a 29/30 and I ordered the jeans in a size 28 since I saw they fit a size big. Assuming they fit fine when I get them, should I expect changes in waist, length, and/or overall bagginess when I wash them?

I've got two pairs and they didn't seem to shrink at all aside from *maybe* a little bit right out the dryer the waist felt a little tight, but after wearing for a bit they settled right back. I like mine a lot more than I expected i end up pulling them out a lot. Love the design and the taper, hopefully you like them as well!

Mine haven't shrunk either but I haven't used a dryer in about 25 years, perhaps longer.

Hell yeah dude

Sometimes

I did it the other day trying on some 874s in Walmart that I needed for my "your pretty face is going to hell" costume

Was wearing high tops laced up With Carhartts, I was in and out of that dressing room so fast

I don't like having loose shoes cause I don't know when I'll need to run from a schizophrenic gunman or something

How are those gap jeans ?? Are they true to size? And also how is the denim? Is it thick and rigid feeling or thinner and flowy? Cause I’ve been eyeing them too

The ones I have seem pretty standard denim, a bit thicker and rigid.  I don’t like the blue wash much, I’d get the black ones.  The leg opening is standard and I wish it was more tapered.  I actually like the baggy khakis a lot though…

Why don’t u like the blue wash? And I am not a huge fan of tapered stuff so maybe I will give them a shot. The price of them is hard to beat

Does anyone know the leg opening on polar 93s. The 36x32 specifically. Also polar site has in the description of them straight leg but on their site when u go to the denim fit page it lists them under the baggy and tapered section. Have they changed them over the years in terms of overall fit? I bought them cause they said straight fit in the description but looking a bit longer and seeing they also have them under the tapered section made me worried. Anyone got full measurements ?

Looser pants I've enjoyed lately:

Levis 559, 565, 568, and 569
Lucky Brand 223 – fit and feel more loose than they look tbh

Trying some Vans relaxed/baggy? (Gotta check the tags) Chinos soon. Stoked to see how these feel in the wild vs trying them on in store.

they are not as tapered as the HUF cromers. rather straight with a nice bit of taper.

my polar 93 denims in 36 X 32 have a leg opening of 23,5 cm, so about 9.25 inches

. So I just got two pairs (shoutout Black Friday bogo free deal) and I’d say they are almost big boy level baggy, for reference if I went true to size I’d be a 30x32 but to get them how I wanted them to fit I went to 33x30 so basically the size up gave me more thigh room and made it so the extra length in the front/back rise made up for the shortness in the inseam. I’ll say if you end up going true to size they’ll be more of an in between of 93 and big boys but if you want that big boy cut for the cheaper price go the size up in the waist

ive been eyeballing those. looking for a pant a little baggier than 93s but not big boy status . lmk too please

I have a pair of Gap baggy fit jeans from a couple of years ago. If they haven't changed the fit since I got mine, I would say they're closer to a Big Boy than a '93. Definitely more room in the top half than '93s, but a little more tapered than Big Boys, which I find to be a bit shoe-swallowing for my taste. I'd say they're of comparable quality to Polar jeans, but you can easily get them for less than half the price if you wait for a good sale (which Gap has regularly).

my OCD is real and i think Y2K silvertabs really fit the bill in terms of balancing baggy and taper, but theyre mad hard to come by in good condo in ebay in the size i wear and really inconsistent in terms of the actual fit due to shrinkage or whatever.

so i faced the dilemma of buying baggy tapered that werent too tapered for a sized up top, which forced me to go a waist size up (which is too big for me IMO) or buying big boys in my actual waist size for the big seat and thigh, that were always too baggy in the leg opening cuz im short and have to hem them.

so i took a pair of cromers that were a waist size too big but had the perfect leg and traced the taper from the knee down on a pair of big boys i despised the clownishly large leg opening of and brought it to my sewing machine and BOOM.

i finessed a pair of baggy jeans that actual fit my waist without weird inward crotch folds, and a leg that tapers to a clean opening that stacks nicely. i essentially created silvertab clones out of my favorite denim supplier… highly rec to anyone looking for a clean baggy to invest in a singer heavy duty or a tailor and altering to ur prefs, instead of searching endlessly for the right fit. im sure this has been said somewhere, just posting a success story cuz nobodytpld me how altering works

Nice, hell yea dude, sewing is tight, I got a brother that I make hats with (or used to) and I would taper my bros jeans when they asked, did a couple of Sean John’s tapered to the butter goods dimensions, he still rocks them, and I get a lil hyped when I see them

Question for the 565 lovers out there, do you go up in size and how much? I’m a true 31 but I bought a pair in 34 to play it safe and I still feel a little constricted when I do certain tricks, nollie heel for example, also another question bc I usually sag my pants just below my hip bones but in 565 it feels like I have to wear them above that to make them work so do you guys just go hella up in size to get that to work?
