Just read that Mark E. Smith of The Fall has pass away. I've only started getting into their stuff recently because it seems like almost all of my favorite musicians always site The Fall as one of their major influence. Hell, some of them have even been in the band at some point. I still have a hard time picking and choosing what albums to try since they have about a million, but for the most part I like their stuff. I think this was the first song I heard that really made me pay attention. I love how they take that simple riff and it just goes and goes. Why make things complicated?

I listened to this guy for the first time yesterday. It's a nice change of pace for me. Any recommendations for which album to check out next? I enjoyed the one you posted.

Speaking of changing things up, a local music store posted these new korg synths on their instagram which lead me down that path and now I'm wanting to check out some more analog synth music. I really don't know shit about that kind of stuff though. I was a little into electronic and synthy stuff around the beginning of the decade. Then dubstep blew up and everything I was getting fed on my streaming platforms seemed to get really obnoxious so I lost interest. I like kinda wonky, layered, repetitive stuff. Stuff like this. anyone got any good recommendations? I need a break from guitars for a while.

these guys are really sick. this track is a little more straight forward, but they kinda mix countryish punk style like the gun club with early devo-ish stuff. they have three albums on spotify and they're all great.
