Been listening to the first three Wire albums a lot lately.

Also just found these guys Bingo Trappers on spotify and I really dig their song "Popcorn Queen". No youtube link though. It's pretty cool garage/proto punk/psych stuff.

That trilogy of Wire records is monstrous, and along with CAN's records (delay 1968 - Soon Over Babaluma) and Talk Talk's later trilogy of records (Colour of Spring - Laughing Stock) are my biggest musical influences.

I've been feeling this hard. This track in particular gives me somewhat early Modest Mouse or Ugly Casanova vibes.. I'm sure it's just the reverse guitar mostly.

JB- Do you listen to The Armed? They're from Detroit (you are too right?) and not what I usually listen to, but I really like what I've heard.

I've never heard of them, but I don't really listen to that style of music so I'm not surprised. They remind me of Deafheaven, but they're probably the only band I know who plays that style of music.

They sound good at what they do, but I've never been able to get into metal.

I think this is Ty's 4th album this year. It's all covers, but it's really fun. He does songs from War, John Lennon, Funkadelic, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead and a few others.

I didn't care much for "Freedom's Goblin" that came out early this year and the new GOGGS album didn't do much for me either, but this is Ty doing what he does best.

Edit: Make it 5 albums this year. I guess he made 55 copies of this one on cassette and sold it at a show last week. This one is weird, lo-fi almost downtempo beats. Really weird, but super cool.

This band is one of my favorite current bands. I absolutely love the fact that they are nerds. Would love to see them some day. Looks like they are playing in London in November.

That is the name of the song and it is the absolute best. That album is grand to say the least, but it's sometimes not considered an actual VU album due to how little Lou Reed is on it, along with the complete absence of Moe Tucker.

Yah I used to have that CD.  I found it on the side of the street, along with an earlier h Hancock compilation.  A little while later I found a live n dimond CD and a CD player.  I had no computer at my apartment but that was all I needed for music - I was sorted!  I know that CD gets panned a bit but I liked it alot.  Fuck em.
