I've seen Peter show up to WSVT walk in the gate and just scream to everyone that he was going to the strip club. This was about noonish.

On several occasions though I've seen him show up there and carve the place switch faster than anyone. Maybe Peter Hewitt would switch carve just as fast but Smolik would also end his switch ride around at mach 10 with a switch tailslide on the tallest wall. Then he'd leave.

Quitting and riding for Menace was probably his wet dream as a skater, but a nightmare for his wallet and substance use seems to be something he can still somewhat maintain.

This isn't wrong. He's like a skate version of Peter Pan, like a man who refuses to grow up. It was more appealing when we were all a bit younger.

But Smolik does have this weird, timeless, magical thing about his style (to me anyways).
