Was watching the Tampa AM contest and the Cariuma dudes were all pretty similar.
You are 20-something, okay-ish skateboarder, got some kind of following on youtube/instagram, but you still had not made it to any existing programs, whether it is shops, boards, shoes, wheels, whatever. But then this company comes in and says hey we want YOU to carry our banner and you go with it to keep that pro-skateboarder dream alive. It kinda bums me out. And I don't just don't see them going from Cariuma to something more "cool". And I don't see it as doing your own thing, because it definitely isn't comparable to something like Scram or some other sick smaller company.
