Have you ever read the unabridged version of Moby Dick?  If so, on a scale from 1-10, how boring was it?

I know this question is for Marc suciu not some douchebag but--Fitzgerald is arguably my favorite American "normal" writer--yet Gatsby despite having brevity on it's side, couldn't carry Moby Dick's jock...

Boring?

Abridged?

The only boring parts are the three or four chapters on whale anatomy particularly the part where Melville shits all over the idea--coming to prominence at the time?--that the whale was mammal and not fish which of course he was way fucking wrong about...

On some sort of word for word basis Gatsby might be better the Moby Dick but that's the only way it might be better than Moby Dick...

And I cannot stress enough if I were to have a kid I might name him/her Fitz... I love Fitzgerald ... (Plus the good doctor did it)... but this is Moby fucking dick we're talking about....

In your knows part you also had a few clips in Tulsa and I saw your Insta story you was in Tulsa when traveling across America. I’m from Tulsa so this gets me stoked when I see spots in well known pros parts.  Did you get a chance to hang in Tulsa? Thoughts? Ha

What made you want to travel across the US during the pandemic ? Was it scary at all or much more difficult? Thoughts you have about it looking back or things you’d do differently?

One note: The audio is crazy overcompressed, it really messes with at least my ears – audio engineer here. If you ever need some help or just want to save some time or whatever, you can always just send me the audio, even when compromised and I'll try to fix it for you.

WG Sebald - Rings of Saturn. And I think he suggested another Sebald book. Amazing writer. Austerlitz is really good too.
