I used to solely skate without weed and save the weed for after or to end the session. Then at some point my meniscus fully tore and I started smoking just to be able to skate through the pain. I had the surgery and now my left foot is the issue now so I make sure to be somewhat stoned when I skate. I’ve skated recently sober and I definitely felt like I was skateboarding better but getting mad stoned before a session helps the pain so much.

I’d imagine pretty much all of them except for Borra, and the former pissdrunx dudes that got sober obviously. I can’t picture Koston getting high either. He’d probably get paranoid and call 911.

Which ones don’t? A better question would be who else was smoking crack in blunts back when people thought it was the safe alternative to coke. Ali Dill and Carroll/ all of EMB/ etc... I wanna hear those crack stories on the nine club instead of “sooo how old were you when you realized you liked to sk8?”.

When I was prescribed pain killers, the thought of crushing one and mixing it with my weed before rolling a joint came to mind but I never got to try it out.

it was regular, quick ups to gap to 50-50 on a tall flatbar. kerry getz did quick ups to gap to lipslide on it in photosynthesis. he wasn't on crack though.

There are two types of people: those who can ride stoned or those who can't do it. There are many health benefits to smoking or swallowing marijuana. With the legal status of the herb changing in many parts of the world, I'm curious how many pro skaters smoke compared to before. It used to be assumed if you were a skater you partook. I can't count the number of times I have been approached by total strangers who don't even skate looking for weed. Not just at the skatepark either, just randomly skating down the street or at some lame local spot. They were usually adults '20-'30s and I was still a teenager... Pretty awkward to think of now honestly.
