He's great! I couldn't pick one track in particular honestly- got Underneath The Pine on vinyl a couple months ago and really enjoy that album. Everything from Causers of This to Outer Peace is a vibe, he doesn't miss imo. His more house-vibey dj pseudonym Les Sins is dope too.

Used to get a pair of Jordan 1’s for school if my parents could afford it then once the school year was over skate them for the summer. On top of being a big basketball head I’ll always have a love for Jordans.

I had to go over 2 months without seeing my son because of lockdown. FaceTime ain’t the same. I had ACG, Spitfire and other cool stuff waiting for him here. I’m so so happy.

White Sands National Park in New Mexico. The entire place is gypsum sand crystals. It gets hella hot, but the sand remains cool to the touch. The way the light bounces off the dunes is ethereal and otherworldly.

When you go, stay past golden hour as the park has the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see:

Oh and bring a sled for the dunes.  ;)

Rough week so this is kind of a decompression kit today.
I'm wearing my Coda coffee cup tee shirt that suddenly has a Dr Yueh diamond hole in the chest for some reason, and I just watched Dune again last night, so I was psyched.
Woolrich Troutrun flannel. It's chilly.
Volcom Modern navy chinos.
Nike free RN.
Can't forget that mask!

Damn that’s a bummer!

Nah, I’m staying out in El Paso for a few more days but we’re working in at the refugee camp at the missle range. I’ve been too a few of the El Paso parks; they’re pretty fucked. I might go skate that los cruces park tonight though! I fly back to Austin on Thursday for a few then come back out here for another three weeks in November.

Haven’t gotten a chance to go out to the dunes though, but I’m trying to before I leave. Gotta go pretend I’m a fremen for a few hours

I wish I had it all but I for sure am HELLA thankful for what I have (!). He was born on my birthday and that trips us both out constantly. Always thinking the same thing, saying the same thing at the same time.  He’s starting to rip at skating. He’s good at anything he tries. It’s awesome.

I’ve lost 8kgs. Not sure what that is in pounds. Had to bounce that covid lockdown weight! My jeans are always falling down and dragging under my shoes now.

Dog-walk fit PLUS:
Powell Peralta sweatshirt
Dickies loose fit double-knee
Knee-high compression socks
Redwing logger boots

I am no clothes horse and have little in the way of style, so I like to make my “fit” posts like public service announcements.  To wit:

The PLUS part of this fit is the healing/pain relief factor of the boots.  I didn’t start skating until I was 50 but I have jumped around forever.  Learned backflips as an early teen, taught myself to run up walls/trees/etc to backflip also.  Climbing and jumping are just a part of me.  So by my mid-30s I was getting some excruciating pain in my knees especially in fall and winter.  CRAZY pain such that I can barely bend my knees.  I never did anything about it or had them looked at.

In my early 40’s we got a dog (now we have 2) and I walk them twice a day, every day.  I like a good work boot too, so for winter walks in New England, I figured I would get a serious pair of boots.  Enter the “Redwing Loggermax”.  I just loved the look and feel so paid the $$$$.

My knee pain practically disappeared overnight.  I don’t remember the exact time frame, but soon after wearing them I noticed my knee pain was alleviated to almost nothing.  These are heavy boots, weighing in at about 2.5 pounds (1.1 kg) each, although I just weighed them after a walk in the rain and they came in at about 3 pounds (1.36 kg) each.

My seasonal knee pain just reappeared in the past weeks and I started wearing the boots immediately and honestly my knees are feeling pretty good considering the hell I have put them through, including a WICKED knee slam (both knees) 14 months ago and my left knee just started feeling normal only a few weeks ago (my right knee felt somewhat normal after about 11 months).

The compression socks also help my feet and calves, but I started barefoot running on pavement and asphalt in my mid-40’s, logging 400-500 miles per year for a few years but I stopped running when I slammed my knees skateboarding 14 months ago.  The socks are great though and help with foot/calf soreness.

No doubt….we are in the middle of a Nor’easter here in Mass. and had to walk around some big fallen tree limbs while being steadily rained on but the dogs gotta walk and take care of business.

Sup fit peeps,

Do any skate companies make slim fit hoodies/stuff that would actually fit a tall skinny dude? I really wanna hoodie but I can't stand boxy shit where the sleeves barely make it to my hands. I'm 6'2" 170 lbs
