Does anyone know if the shape 1 tapers around the back truck?

Wondering if i should get Indy 144’s for 8.5 FA deck or stick with my 149’s.

For reference i dont like seeing wheels when I look down.

I don't recall much taper if any, on the boards I had come in as swaps / trades and one 8.5 fits well on 149s when I saw it set up not too long ago.

Doesn’t taper. I ride 149s on a 8.25 FA and don’t see my wheels sticking out

Second this,149's will fit perfect - no turtling or hotrodding. I've ridden mine on the 8.25/8.38 shovel shape for my last 4/5 decks.

Ok

Anyone have experience with the 8.25 shape 2? How steep are the kicks? I know it says mellower and more tapered but with how extreme shape 1 is that could mean anything lol. Can anyone compare it to a dlx press number?

Anyone know what the hell is different about the Hockey Ben's shape? The first Ben's shape board had a weird long wheelbase if I recall correctly but the last two drops have had the standard width and wheelbases as the others. So I'm not really sure how they are different.

This is the Ben shape board out now.

Maybe the length?

Top of the last page, all the shapes there and everything under 32, whereas these boards are all 32+ from the info that is on that link page.

Apart from that I wouldn't know anything else, but the top pic doesn't look half as squared off at the ends, maybe more like a few other boards I know, a bit more blunt in the nose with a more rounded tapered tail, I guess.

From that link:

Details
Shape Ben Shape

8.25" x 32.24"
14.12" Wheel Base.

8.38" x 32.24"
14.19" Wheel Base.

8.5" x 32.24"
14.25 Wheel Base.

I checked it out in person because i was really curious about this shape. I measured the wheelbase and it was actually 14.5", so I'm pretty certain its just the generic bbs/ generator shape. nose and tail look pretty identical and it doesnt have the dyed middle ply, just top and bottom dye.

Andrew Allen's Custom Shape.

8.25" x 31.92"
16.25" Wheel Base.

I’m a little curious, but not enough to drop $80 on it.

Any companies with shapes with kicks and concave as steep as Shape 1 but without the shovel nose and tail?

I know it's probably been asked somewhere but the internet is failing me today..

Hockey 8.44 shape 2 deck - same dims or different to the dlx 8.5 boards?

I'll ask another here - limo 8.38 and baker 8.475 - are they the same as the dlx 8.5 boards?

In the UK I can only seem to find made in china dlx decks and with them being the same price as the others it's got me looking elsewhere

It was listed as 16.25” but it was a typo, since they edited it to 14.25”, which makes sense. For the past week, I thought AA actually skates decks with a 16.25” wheelbase.

Idk

On the mellow side indeed. IV in dlx press number I'd say, maybe III.

The 8.44 is pretty close to the dlx 8.5s (14.25 wb).
Limo and Baker not so much.

Is that a typo or is there a Kadow shape?  His board listed at 32.24 length for the 8.25?

Yeah that's a real shape. 8.25 x 32.24 x 14.75. I was shocked when I saw this one in person not long ago

Oh wow, that is wild.  I think I was confused because they still have the wb for this one as 14.13 on their site, making me think it had a huge nose and tail, but it soungs like it is a long wb.  Thanks

My fault - I also just saw this was discussed above and I missed it.
