Can confirm that the 8.5 is really great. Can't remember what Roman numeral it was in the stack, but it was short, wide, and steep. I very much enjoyed it.

I have the 8.5 orange curb crusher on my wall as my next deck, also planning to skate it with my current Ace AF1 55’s I wanted to try the shorter wheelbase, but I’m first ‘finishing’ my current deck How much of a difference did you notice compared to a normal wheelbase deck?

Yeah, I'm currently skating an Enjoi 8.5 x 14.25 WB. I like it in combination with the ace trucks, but I was also curious how a 14" WB would feel. Back in the day when I skated 7.5 and 7.75, my wheelbases were also around 14 or even 13.75. I just want to know if some of my tricks from back in the day would be easier, or just skating in general

As per a post in the Woodshop thread, I had a look at a few other boards and they are all shorter wheelbases, even for the 9 which was 14.25 for those who are interested.

The only down side is it is for the UK / EU market with product from Quarter Dist, for those in the USA, you might have to go looking a bit more.

That sticker is 99.9% the usual BBS sticker though, which is why I thought that.

Skate Mental had been listed as China (unknown) and then more recently Clutch, neither of which would have that sticker, so that was my assumption.

I had a look around and sure enough, other Skate Mental decks are also now BBS.

Haven't been able to find a listing that shows the top side yet, but apparently this baker deck is 9.6 x 32 with a 13.75wb

What about something like the standard PS Stix 8.5? It's got a pretty short wb at 14.25 although I think that's just average nowadays. Available across a variety of brands - Quasi, Strangelove, WKND, Pizza all put out 8.5s in that shape. Pretty mellow and square.

For this thread I was thinking of the older but re released Russo Lusso egg type of shape again, at 8.75 x 31.87 with 14.2 wb.
