I know its relatively not that wide but does anyone know of good 8.38s with a shorter wb? Like 14.25 or under. I've noticed that most 8.3s are usually 14.5. I've seen more 8.5s at 14.25 for some reason. Not a deal breaker to go with 8.25 or 8.5 but I feel like 8.3 is an ideal width for me.

i want to say the true fit series has an 8.38 with a 14 wb for you
Ill keep an eye out. Thank you!

If you prefer PS Stix, WKND makes a nice 8.375 w/14wb. I think it's the 8.375NH shape.

.

I just happened on another Heroin 8.5 x 32 twin with a 14.0 wb when looking for something else earlier.  This shape has been talked about before (Feb 2024) for an older graphic, but this is current again with this new graphic and same shape, so I thought I would post it (again).

https://www.tactics.com/heroin/wilson-chainsaw-85-symmetrical-shape-skateboard-deck/yellow

Width (in):   8.5
Length (in):   32.0
Wheelbase (in):   14.0
Nose Length (in):   7.0
Tail Length (in):   7.0

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I think I’m into the short stubby boards. Anyone got any recs on 8.5 shorter than 32 length with rounder-ish noses?

I would be inclined to see if you can find any Tru Fit boards from DLX - Real, Krooked or Antihero, as they have quite a few options and their regular boards are just scaled down in length and wheelbase, so something like the 8.5 (or even 8.38) Tru Fit shapes might be good for you.

There is also the Antihero short, as well as the Real shorter boards too, but they might be a little harder to find, although checking their current and previous catalogs might help more than a bit there too.

Compared to some other brands, at least these are all over the world, so here in AU there are quite a few around.

If in USA, the skatesamples.com site has a couple of the shorter boards on their site, which also might work.

Seems like quite a few more brands are putting out shorter options now anyway, when I scroll somewhere like Tactics in looking for product info.

Set up a Creature Stumps 9"/14.25" deck on Thunder 151's yesterday. So far I really like it, very nice shape. The deck isn't manufactured by DSM like Creature decks used to be which is a slight worry but I'll see how it does in the long run.

If you are at all familiar with who distributes DLX in your country in EU, hit them up for an expected timeframe, but most commonly, it will be a few months away.

That is what it is here for Australia, for anything DLX (USA) based, compared to the China wood boards which are here pretty much same time as the BBS boards are released in USA now.

two new polar shapes

D1
9.25 (widest point) X 30.5
nose: 6.9
wb: 14.0
tail: 6.7

T Shape
8.75" (widest point) X 30.5"
nose: 5.5"
wb: 14.25"
tail: 6.5"
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I liked Dane1 from Polar despite it being pretty stubby. These are just way too short.

FWIW they landed in France. It's a boat soooo I don't know if I will order one for the shop.
I'm wondering if they are Mexico or China.

Last release on Antihero (Bozos series) we got here were made in China

Nice maybe some Horse Pills will pop up in a shop near me soon!

Regarding the Bozos the Trujillo is a good one for this thread, 8.75" / 14.25".

I have seen a mix here in Australia, more often than not boards that don't have the specs and info dialled in well in advance for the production in China are still BBS made boards, so I would think at this stage, it was BBS only for those, but in saying that all the AH / Thrasher colab including the 9.56 green giant shape are all China boards, so they have the capabilities to make wider boards now too.

At least for us, the BBS wood and all other stock that comes through DLX in SF takes a couple of months longer to arrive, but anything from China is pretty much here when the catalogs drop in the USA.

They don't add up so I looked a little further and polar has that shape listed at 31.75 with a different graphic.

thanks for pointing that out
looking at the sticker, its 31.75” with a 14.2wb
funny how they got it wrong on their own website

seems a lot more versatile with those dimensions

I ran a Big Boy with Indy 159s a while back and it was perfect.

Speaking of Chico Stix, I have this 8.8 football shape and it's fantastic. Super snappy. Great specs.
