Lol, what? I'm not asking for recommendations on a shoe that's going to heal an injury or completely prevent it. I asked for recommendations on a skate shoe or insole that has better than average forefoot cushion, since a lot of focus is on the heel area. It's not about a total solution, it's about an added factor in shock absorption and fatigue. Thanks for your insight though, not trying to argue.

I'm sorry, pal, maybe I didn't read you right. I think you would be better with flatter shoes then, idk something like Joslin is pretty flat with pretty good insoles. Maybe someone could recommend you good aftermarket insoles,I dont mess with them really.

Dunks with Superfeet run cushion medium have been working well for me so far. I prefer the Superfeet over FP gamechangers. I've landed primo a few times and the plastic arch support has saved me

Dunks are probably your best bet if you're looking to only skate one shoe for an extended period of time. That's the only cupsole with a consistent spot in catalogs and you don't have to worry about getting phased out.

I skated Dunks a few times years ago maybe like 2019 i remember feeling that at the time they were good but I was vulc only and mainly emericas at the time. I’ll try both and see which I prefer.

Coming from a non-cup guy, the Rowan 2s have been a very nice transition from vulcs. Definitely more supportive without a whole lot of bulk. I Glued the upper stitchings and personal high-wear areas and my first pair has lasted for a good while and still holding up.

Seems like you can’t go wrong on 1010s tho.

Adidas Gonz Alohas are incredible. They used to be hard to come by but they seem to be a regular release now.

I skated thin vulcs for a long, long time and was haunted by all the terrible bulky cupsoles of the early 2000s.

The Alohas tick almost every box for me and have really sold me on cupsoles now.

Are you using the stock insoles or aftermarket? I have a pair of the black and gum ones but the insoles feel really thin. Been looking for something with a little more impact protection, but not sure what would be good in these.

I've got some BLK/Crystals as chillers, no way would I skate these thinking I'm getting Cupsole level protection as they are as Vulc feeling as a cup could be imo. I've tried different insoles and each one makes the show tight across the toebox (there is not a lot of vertical room in them for me),

I’ve never skated either, I was just trying to think of shoes that are not likely to get cut from product lines and Dunks are really all I could think of. The 1010s seem to be here to stay at least while Tiago is on NB.

I’ve skated the first TJ’s a bunch but have 1010’s as chillers….they seem like a lot of shoe if you were coming off vulcs……

Superfeet All Purpose High Impact Support Insoles (orange). They have extra forefoot cushioning. They do the trick but I recommend using them in a flatter shoe.

I've been skating in the new Air Max Ishod's and wearing them for about a week now. They fit true to size for me, and I feel confident while skating in them. However, since they're mids, it's a bit hard for me to take them off after a long day, especially given how tightly I lace them. I made the mistake of trying to take them off while they were still laced tightly and ended up ripping the rear air pocket. It's no big deal, but it taught me not to be lazy when taking them off.

Despite this, I've enjoyed the shoes and have received lots of compliments from random people. However, after a long weekend, I decided to just slip on my AVEs and go to work. The AVEs felt about 50% more comfortable, which made me wish even more for a mid version of the AVE. 🫤

Thanks man I'll keep these in mind. I ended up just scooping some sale KSL G6's which are probably the best cupsole I've ever had on my feet. My foot is healing really slow but these definitely help it not hurt too bad when walking. Itching like a junkie to get back on the board.

Thanks man I'll keep these in mind. I ended up just scooping some sale KSL G6's which are probably the best cupsole I've ever had on my feet. My foot is healing really slow but these definitely help it not hurt too bad when walking. Itching like a junkie to get back on the board.

I ran the orange and green and settled on these: https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/all-purpose-cushion (previously called flex). They're a bit lighter and as the old name implies [more] flexible. I found the orange and green very stiff for skating and working out but great for everything else. They also don't squeek like the orange do, FFS.

Said it once, said it twice, said it a thousand times... Adidas continental 80's and club C's have skated better for me than any of the actual 'skate' cupsoles I've tried (besides maybe a fast break).

Plus non skate shoes are so much cheaper. Can always be found on sale and look better.

I hated mine. They felt really unstructured and loose.

My homie wears these. He has some white leather ones but don't like the feel of the flick in them. And they bag out a lot on him. But I think he had these for at least 2 years now. Maybe a suede version would be good for skating. Anyone knows?

Would prefer a suede version but I've been skating the all black leather pairs and they've been amazing. Once the leather breaks in a bit they're good to go. Less grippy than a skate shoe but I don't mind that. I hate something like vans where I can't seem to move my foot around on my board.

Club C's skate amazing as well. I've skated the leather versions of those but just ordered a pair of suede so will let you know of any major differences
