Champion mesh shorts are essential for the summer. And the pockets are deep enough where your cell phone and wallet don’t fall out.

Finally I found a short I love

Corduroy shorts in Summer sounds like a mesh jacket in winter to me.

I love patagonia baggies. I wear them all summer and in the house year round. I buy the bathing suit ones and cut the net out. One time I found a bathing suit pair without a net and I was stoked. I thought that they were mediums because the price tag had a m on them and then when I got home I saw the tag in the shorts had a xl on the tag. Turned out that m was just an upside down w and I bought woman’s bathing suit cover up patagonia baggie shorts. Here’s a clip from 2 years ago of a quick session skating them in the nj august heat for 15 minutes before I went back in the ac in the woman’s baggies.

Right now I’m wearing patagonia men’s like hiking or atheletic shorts with the tights build in. They’re made stretchy and comfy. Don’t look like baggies but a great comfy pair of shorts. Can’t go wrong with baggies. They must have went up in price though from what people are saying in this thread.

Real talk I love shorts. I own mad shorts. Dime leisure shorts are sick - I really like those. When it’s hot you need to stay cool. I don’t understand the hating of short. My dad wears sweat shorts all year round.

now i want/need baggies

i like how happy you look in this video
gx board: currently skating one, thought i’d hate it, best board i’ve had in long time

I’ve said this before but in my head you’re my biggest supporter and best friend. I haven’t skated a gx since they went to bbs but I loved the shape so much on ps. It’s like a quasi prototype but I think the tail is even shorter and I love that.

Dickies Jackson pretty sick too.

I skated the 'skate' cargos last season, still have them/skate them, but don't really care for the fit (too long, too high wasted and the outer/sides stick out). But they were on sale (and couldn't return them). These look more tame.

Volcom used to be my goto but they changed their sizing/cut recently (longer).

I started cutting the legs off my bigger pants and use the leftover to make cargo pockets.

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

Might not be long enough for a lot of you but they're also not nyjal short shorts either. Price is right.

My favorite right now are some old Ben Davis I cut to 19" outseam. Actually all my shorts are just old pants I cut to that length. I think it usually ends up 7-8"ish inseam. I like it.

I mostly wear Carhartt Single knee shorts. I have to size them up and wear a belt tho, else they fit strange, traffic cone effect.

Anyone know of any other brands than polar that are doing similar shorts to big boys but in XXXS? Polar dropped some but 135 euro is way to expensive. BTW, for a friend I'm not that skinny.

+1 more for the Patagonia baggies. Pretty much any sweat wicking/quick dry material is ideal. I’ve got a couple pairs of LL Bean hiking shorts that work good.

Nabbed some Volcom 'fricken' elastic waist shorts [w/drawstring] with last weekends fam code, fit well, good length and stretchy.

It's that time of year. Anyone know what the fit is like of Nike SB Kearny shorts? Like say compared to the standard Dickies work shorts)?

Both the pants and shorts are HUUUUUGE when it comes to leg openings and thigh fit (pants drape well but the stack is much too wide for me past the knee) and normal with regards to waist; I had to return the Larges for mediums and they are just a tad snug in the waist (the material is fucking amazing tho). Last dickies shorts I wore were the skate cargos and they were about the same (if not a bit better fitting all around). $75 for 'skate' shorts is  fucking ridiculous ...

There are two versions, numbered sizing (old) and letter sizing (new) - my experience is with the lettered sizing.

My goto this season (since they don't make the good hybrids anymore)

Cheers, I ordered them (the Nikes) as found a pair for €25. The last pair of Dickies I bought the quality was shit. The pockets were way smaller than the older ones.
I can't do with out belt loops so them Volcom ones are out.

This is the best option even though XXXS is 24”-26”. People said that the Cromer fits 2” larger than the tag. However, they either fixed it or my pair has the wrong tag. My Butter Goods jeans in 36 are looser in the waist than the 38 Cromer jean shorts, from the summer drop. If buying them physically is an option, your friend should try them out.

Carhartt WIP has Brandon and Landon which are jean shorts that retail for 80-100 euros, but the smallest size would be a little over 30” waist.

Passport denim shorts could be an option but the smallest size they have is 26. People say that they fit 2” larger than the tag but I would say that my 36 Workers Club denim shorts fit like 37”.

I haven’t found any European shops with these, but 24”/25”/26” would be closer in size to the XXXS Big Boys compared to the other options:

Ripstop shorts is what you’re looking for. Aside from Nike SB, I can only think of Magenta.

Dickies and Rothco are cheaper options, but the availability from skate shops may not be good if you’re not in the US.
