I jumped on the wayback machine and it looks like the pants used to be $100 a pair.  I honestly think it was a calculated decision to sell the pants for $1400.  I am guessing that she thinks that is some type was she is an heavy influencer, due to her ego constantly being stroked on instagram.  People like her are not grounded in reality, I am sure her boyfriend skate goat and professional skater entrepreneur sister reminded her that "if you have haters you're doing something right" and to "get that bread skate mama,"  and that we are all jealous of her glorified 5 belt loop laden scrubs which are truly pushing the limits of luxury fashion.  Luckily, her co-owner...mentor.... friend....yeah friend (who let's her use office space and the backend of The Berrics) Steve Berra probably helped her see the genius behind such a power move, and advised her to mark the pants back down, but not to the original price since everyone will be relieved such an in demand luxury pant is no longer $1400 that they won't even realize you've increased your margin by 50%.
