Before Willy's duffle bag was checked in for the flight back, they both took a shit in it.

More or less everything I’ve ever heard about either of these guys makes them both seem like borderline violent sociopaths.

wow the legend of DerekG. i was a wee lad on skateperception when this all went down but i never heard about the conspiracy theory.. and honestly i’m not buying it. derek was big into robotripping, probably really paranoid, and while i was aware he had a fucked family situation i cant imagine what his parents motivation would be for murdering their own son.. that’s some pretty fried shit to think about a tragedy imo.
and didnt his family start a non profit or build a skatepark or something in his name?

I used to talk to Derek back then. We played a lot of Counter Strike. His home life was bizarre and he did have a knack for getting in even stranger situations. While his dad did work for some newspaper and did some stuff for the FBI academy if I remember correctly, I really can't buy that story. He hit his head when he was skating by himself.

That situation is so depressing, and went on way too long. I remember walking into my local shop and hearing one of the EMB guys talking about her and how she had the clap. He said she was 16, and it was a couple years after the H-Street tour that Carroll talks about, so she was maybe 14 or so at that time. There's a brief shot of her in some of the Jake Rosenberg footage he uploaded to youtube years ago. She's just a kid. I don't think it was just scumbags and EMB kids who took a roll in the hay with her, either. Huf mentions her in the FTC book, but doesn't divulge.

I don't know what that girl's name is but the Youtube commenter is right about that not being HH. I since spoke with someone from back then and he said there were two HH's. There is another Rosenberg video of the second one kind of diving out of the shot.

In his Epicly Later’d one of the filmers or photographers talks about constructing, demolishing, reconstructing, and re-demolishing a concrete kicker onto two different sides of a set of steps for Ricky to get a couple clips grinding them.  I guess so no one else would skate it after.  Ricky also talks about how half of his “trick” is finding the actual spot so essentially he doesn’t like when other people use his spots (I’m paraphrasing - I forget exactly how he describes it).  Not sure if that’s the video you’re thinking of…


I also remember in some Redbull east coast contest DVD where teams competed skating Boston, New York, and Philly they would like name the spots as they were shown (a few spots from each city got skated) and Ricky had taken them to that steep bank sculpture thing in Dickinson Square park as one of the three Philly spots.  For that one they described it as Ricky’s top secret spot or something and wouldn’t name it as if anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of South Philly wouldn’t recognize something right off of Moyamensing Ave, in a large park, a stone’s throw from 95.  Always thought that was a little corny haha.
