Love how aghast shop owners, proprietors, etc. sometimes are when they host these drops and fights break out. Either they have an astoundingly optimistic view of humanity, or they're dumb as shit. Idiots have been fighting at Black Friday events for years. Why is it shocking when the same thing happens over intentionally limited runs of shoes?
Riots of a shoe were not really commonplace in 2008
By 08 SB was dead. Fights were commonplace in New York over shoes before the pigeon shits. Fools were getting sliced over polo before kicks in the 90s.
The difference is that now every little kid and their mother has a snorkels account, registers for the supreme line despite living in Lowell Massachusetts, and has a reselling Facebook page they share bc they both think they are the next shaun wetherspoon (the dude that said “I’d let Nike shit in my mouth, right in my mouth. If that’s what you wanted to do. I love nike more than anyone loves nike.” During a meeting with higher ups regarding the design a shoe contest he won. Weirdo.)
