I don't mean to be alarmist but I have had peeks at Spring 2025 Drops 1 and 2 and there are no Huffers.
Plan accordingly, dear cult members.

People always compliment my Huffers out there in the pools, parks and streets but I don't think I've ever ran across anyone else riding one...

Hopefully, its not ran its course.

Talk me off the ledge...

Maybe they're finalizing testing on the grimple huffer slick.....

I recently met a dude at the skatepark who said he only rode the beach bum shape which hasn't been in the past couple of drops. totally blew me away

I'd hate for the GrimpleSlick to be prematurely released without adequate testing. Good point @bartharleyjarvis and thanks.

I actually think I have enough Huffers and GFBs to get through 2025 but still....

And if we all get desperate enough, we know crail is sitting on half a warehouse full of phawts…

Brimson mentioned the Black Label 9x32 egg with 14.38 wheelbase. That's the new huffer we should be drooling over.

I’ve noticed that you like to tell people how to think.

So you're saying my opinion is valid. Very good. I'm sensing a breakthrough here.

Of course your opinion is valid. I'm not an egomaniac. It's wrong, but it's still valid.

I'm not an ego maniac either. Have you tried the Black Label 9x32 egg with 14.38 wheelbase?

I know you're not. I'm just bored and being antagonistic. I have tried the BL 9x32x14.38 egg and it's a great feeling board, but I still like the Huffer shape more, even with the long wheelbase. It just works for me.

That said, right now I'm not even skating a Huffer. I'm on a BL 9.5" x 32.5" 14.5" wheelbase egg for my non-popsicle board. Whole different beast but also a blast.

Skated the 8.62 cream Eagle shape today.

First time on a 14.75wb. Didn't feel as crazy as I expected.

Made me think I could maybe handle a Huffer...

Dimensions are too big. Plenty of better options out there now.

There has been 'other' options for years. You do you.

The Cvlt has already gone into too much detail about why these dimensions work. It is not about conventional numbers and measurements. It is about ratios, and curves.

The Huffer is inter-dimensional.

Anyone trying too hard to define the Huffer is destined to fail. To grasp it, is to loose it.

If you let it be, you'll soon experience a nose that will facilitate nollie heels, backside airs and jersey barrier knifing. A tail that will promote 360 flips, tail blocks and backside 360 no complies.

This is no mere Egg or Football.

best I stop now.

I promise it will be back. They drop kind of sparsely. I remember like 4 or so years they would MAYBE have one drop a year that had it. But to my knowledge it sells well and has a pretty loyal fan base.

Who knows maybe krooked or real will end up dropping a huffer. They’ve done it with the 9.1 egg before so it’s not out of the question to think that might be a reason why.

But I’m a firm believer in stocking a few up just in case.

Also here’s a crosspost from the setup thread of my newest.

Birthday Christmas complete from my girlfriend
No surprises here:
Anti Hero Huffer shape 9.18"×32.62" 14.81WB
Ace AF1 Hallow 66’s
Spitefire formula 4 radials 53mm 99a
Bronze hardware 7/8" Phillips
Pepper Grip
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

Have you tried the BL 9x32 14.38 football?

No reason to.

I actually take respite with the GFB twin football that's same width as the Huffer with a 14.38" WB but its far inferior to the Huffer. And really I only skate the occasional one to remind myself of the Huffer's greatness.

You can't convince me but keep trying....

@freelancevagrant tell your GF thanks and I love her.

Can’t wait to post in rick’s “BL 9x32 14.38 football” thread about how the BL 9x32 14.38 football actually isn’t that good.

That will be a good and worthwhile post for me.

The funny thing is even though I have a couple of them, I still haven't set any up.

Have a Huffer set up, another one just went to a friend to skate and I still have a couple in waiting, but I am riding other boards a lot more right now anyway.

Always thought about trying this shape but the longer wheelbase always held me back. Is it something you guys like a lot about the shape, or is it something you overlook and adapt to?

Those look really good to me too. I think there’s probably correlation between the amount of Cardiel graphics on those and the huffer.

I’m a couple good sessions/weeks in on it.
I first set up the huffer on Stage 4 151, and then I had to try 159 standards, and it was alright. Now it’s back on 151s. They feel super lively and they wheelbite in a more manageable way. They’re stable on center, and I can ride them without fucking around with bushings and washers. Just stock at one thread. It pops light. Feels like the 8.5”/14.5” wb with stage 11s.

It’s the funnest board ever.

I think you should just go for it. How tall are you?
Prof. Schmitt says if you’re 6’ you should be on a 15” wb. So by that reasoning if you’re between 5’8” and 6’ you’d theoretically be comfortable on this with Aces or Indy stage 4s, as they shrink the axle to axle wb.
Yeah I kook.

I heard these boards also work for shorter kings.
Take my shit with a grain of salt tho. I’m full of it  :)

There's a special alchemy that just makes the shape work. It leans toward egg but the tail is more square so it has great scoop. Nose isn't too small or pointy like a lot of other eggs. Nice and wide down the middle so you feel at home. It can be a total street machine on 8.5" axle trucks or you can make a transition/curb crusher with 8.75"/9" trucks.

I've run it with 52mm or 58mm wheels, i've run indys, aces, ventures, lurpivs, slappys, film trucks on it. it's just magic.

Yeah, I would say from seeing so many of your boards of various sizes, shapes, etc at least trying a Huffer once is very much going to fit in with the diversity of your previous setups.

It is a fun board, not for everyone or for everything, but I do like to have one around.

For me the tail is really good, works better than a big square tail on some of the shaped boards, has decent width, reasonable wheelbase - not actually too long when it comes down to it, so for something that works fairly well for the mid range big board, the Huffer is up there as far as shapes go and it operates more easily / like a popsicle than a number of other boards I have had and passed on for whatever reason.

Just my thoughts on it as well.

After over a yr of umming and arring over getting one I’ve finally joined the cult.
Keen as fuck to get out sometime over the week and see how she goes.

Cross post from the setup thread

Spitfire ff 99du classics 55mm (probably more like 53mm now)
Venture 6.1 V hollows
Bones Swiss

Let me know what you think of Ventures on the Huffer. I switched from Indy to Venture earlier this year and haven’t had a Huffer setup since then. I’m scheming on setting one up this month, though, with some 6.1s.

Had my first sesh on it last night, have a bit of a jacked ankle from work so kept it pretty mellow but it felt really good on ventures. Had no problems with scoopy tricks. I was coming off a white eagle though so used to a bigger wheelbase. All in all though highly rate it so far.

Waiting for someone to run the WB shrinking V8s.
For some reason I felt like the wider trucks would go great.
Maybe the loose bushings would feel good too.
