Possibly it was the promo for “children of a lesser god” but the video has been removed on the thread I could find. I’m going to keep looking and I’ll update this if I find it, seems a lot of vids have been removed though. There should be a thread I commented on an old focused account with the same complements name when it happened (and I recognized the footage.) I’ll try my best to find it, but they seriously did. I don’t think they should be cancelled or anything for it, I think it was just trying to be edgy, but definitely rubbed me the wrong way, because most people aren’t going to know the backstory of that footage. I feel like they scrubbed a bunch of vids off the internet, didn’t FA World entertainment website used to have a video section?

I saw dimmu at the docks in like 2009 open for glen danzig and the whole place chanted “fuck Danzig” and walked out before he came out. Poor Danzig. Always thought black metal was cringe though and all about angst. Jakeumms is totally right, death metal is amazingly diverse. Viking mythology, squirting blood out of your dick, forests rising up to kill humans, it’s got the diverse storytelling aspect forsure. Fuck the alliance.

BM separated from its genesis point feels forced and stupid to me. i like the orig scandi stuff but everything else feels like someone copying. and all the ambient shit sucks i’d rather listen to dance music

DM is more cartoony and fun to listen to (and watch). way less self serious and as a former HC kid the slammy parts are always cool

Just like the name of the brand, Hockey, this is all a branding choice to market to that angry, young, working class white guy demo or at least use that imagery for marketing to people who like that aesthetic. I see Hockey and FA as a sort of updated version of Girl and Chocolate, where you had semi-segregated teams, but Dill and AVE made it edgier.

Black Metal is such a contentious sub-genre that I often find myself wondering why I still listen to any of it, but truth be told, I love the stuff! Shit is definitely different now because there are a ton of great anti-fascist BM bands actively fighting against the old stigma of all BM fans being secret Nazis and I think its important to point that out and lift those voices (looking at you Gaylord, Avvika, Underdark etc...).

All that being said, if Hockey/FA is actually paying Varg to use Burzum then that is fucked because then they are actively supporting the dudes lifestyle by way of financial support. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if they used it without his knowledge because there's no way Varg is in his hut scouring YouTube for the latest edits. When I was an edgy teen I listened to Burzum but I never bought his music, would just pirate that shit because fuck giving money to fascists.

Dipping Wendy’s fries into their chocolate frosty was a favorite of mine and my family growing up

Don't knock it until you try it:

Peanut sauce (may be better known as satay sauce).

Easy to make at home:
Sauté garlic, ginger and chili flakes in olive oil
add 2/3 table spoons of peanut butter and a few cups of milk (soy or oat is fine)
stir on low fire, adding ketjap manis and soy sauce to taste
at the end, add sugar and lime juice to taste
