I just don’t understand why whatever caused the delay in release was worth all the hassle for what amounted to a “good time, homies video.”
I enjoyed it well enough, but it felt pretty “meh,” overall.
The marketing of Beat, and the vibe of this entire video feel like they’re both intended to make skating appear fun & more importantly, ACCESSIBLE to people who don’t already skate.
Even if it doesn’t generate increased sales of the “pro” line, it still serves to make skating more relatable to the masses, writ large, and by that I mean the general shoe buying public.
Why by it a shoe from a “skate” brand even if you don’t skate?
THERE’s your answer: fun lifestyle & lots of high fives & hugs.
It’s all awaiting you in your next pair of Vans.
Nobody know marketing strategy around here?!?
