He is one of my favourite skaters of all time - there, I said it. IMO he should be as hooked up as say Wade D or Miles Silvas, he’s definitely as talented, and doesn’t seem that hre is particularly marketable? Take away the tooth pick era cause I can’t defend that.

Maybe i’m just blinded by nostalgia because I love that smoke and mirrors part so fucking much.

He’s definitely amazing on a skateboard, I’ve enjoyed the majority of the footage he’s put out over the years.. but I’m just not feeling the mini ramp “coping/lip stall” tricks.. everything else he puts out is pretty damn decent for sure though..

Does anyone remember when he was skating with the Deathwish/Supra dudes and it seemed like he may be getting on? Like they were trying him out. How crazy would that have been. Or am I just imagining this or it was someone else I’m confusing him with? I seem to remember there being some footage of them all skating a mini ramp together

Guess depends on where he was at. There were definatly years where dressing like that was not popular. As someone who used to dress like that I remember feeling pretty stupid when I started dressing normally and realised it's way more comfortable without an extra 2 kilos of material twisting around all over the place and having to pull up your pants every thirty seconds and having to completely re adjust your pants because they've almost completely pulled your boxers 180. Altho watching that clips has made me want to get some 6xl button ups again

You're fried if you think Cody Mac's style while doing tricks is bad. He was definitely the OG that did BS Bigspin and Nollie BS Bigspins the best. His mini ramp skating is gnarly. He does an unreal switch tre in one iconic clip on one. Stanky/dangly leg or not, it looks so wild!

How he dresses currently I do not care for and personality-wise with the confederacy shit, not down for it. Outside of skating, do what you will with your take on him.

I feel like it must be weird to swap out your whole wardrobe. Was it immediate? Was it premeditated? Did he buy a weeks worth of progressively slimmer fits and just work all the way to where he is now?
