i asked the florist to put bubblegum tate, hope that’s cool with everyone! and i can definitely get some photos. not sure if there will be a service, i think it’s just a viewing.

good news yall: the florist i’m working with told me he’d hook it up with the floral arrangement some of us close to him were working on so all our funds that were allocated to that will go towards the SLAP wreath meaning we’ve met our goal!!! i’ll head over tomorrow morning to pay and finalize everything. thank you to all who chipped in. <3

i’d really appreciate it if we could hook our florist up with a yelp review or something like that for his help during all this. iris flowers & gift shop in south san francisco. he doesn’t have one set up right now but i’ll help him do that tomorrow and let everyone know so we can put him on. this really shows the power in community! here’s his facebook for now: https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063696964730

According to one of his friends who spoke during the service, the name Loaf came from the fact that at one point he was buying bread from Costco to give to people. It was said somewhat in passing so I'm not sure if that really tells the story well enough, if anyone knows better please fill in what I left out. It warmed my heart to find out that the name's etymology was loosely based in reference to his immense generosity.

Damn what the fuck...We been losing too many PALS this year. Probably the nicest dude who I've had the pleasure of sharing the boards with over the years, and his expertise in the shoe game was unmatched. If you had any footwear-related inquiries he could pretty much always answer your questions, and on the rare occasion he couldn't, he'd at least point you in the direction of someone who could.

Know it's been said many times but the entire Shoes & Gear forum will straight up never be the same. RIP Tate, hope you're somewhere catching a sesh with the rest of our fallen PALS.
