I lean towards quality timeless basics - J Crew, Everlane, and plenty of Target/Goodfellow as well. Historically when not skating I’ve worn higher end denim by APC/Nudie/3sixteen/Naked and Famous but lately as my skating ramps back up I find myself reaching for dickies and Levi 501 more than anything.
Don’t sleep on the 501 shrink to fits - by them at your normal waist size and 2 inches extra in length, wear for 2 weeks or so as is and then wear them in a hot bath and keep them on till they dry - and you’ve got a timeless pair of tailored jeans that could stand up against jeans that cost 10x. Not to mention they’re still comfy enough to skate in.
Outerknown has great flannels and button downs, as does LL Bean. And most of my outerwear is Patagonia and Filson.
I own a Bonobos black suit, a few brooks brothers dress shirts, black Hudson brogues, and Uniqlo dress socks - I plan on buying a linen suit soon as well - my wife has a lot of friends / family members on the verge of weddings. I also have a navy blue and tweed blazer I often pair with an Oxford shirt and nice jeans.
I have 10 or so skate brand hoodies, and a smattering of skate and band T’s. But this pretty much makes up a solid wardrobe for my lifestyle - I’m 37 work in tech, play in a few bands, and my wife and I live a rather high/low lifestyle - from burgers and wings with our son, to natural wine bars and Michelin starred restaurants around the world.
