My old man owns several extremely expensive watches (some can buy you a nice house with the money you'd make selling them) and I legit never understood the appeal. I appreciate the craftsmanship and skill to make watches, I watched a few documentaries on the history of the craft and its impressive. But yeah I simply dont understand blowing such insane sums on this.

I dunno how it is now, but I used to shop the sale section on Garmentory and I would get $200 shirts for like $50.

Someone posted this site in the sale thread when they were unloading all there Sci-Fi Fantasy stock. I felt bad buying a hat for $12 shipped but at least I know now that I'm on the team. Thanks Jerry

look at pictures of jonah hill, regardless of your opinions about the dude he dresses well, and he used to be round as a barrel until recently
i don't think i'm even as fat as skinny jonah hill but that's a good call. jonah in wolf of wall street is actually personal style goals. i'm just in this annoying spot where all my old clothes are like a half size too small but then i swim in stuff if i size up, so everything ends up looking bad.

If you like your workwear I’d recommend a bandana on your neck it’s basic and versatile. Buy a silk one if your are a bit more flamboyant.

i've said it before here but it's really bad, the cuts are bad, they're made by and for people who think the way to wear wide pants is to size up - you can get really really wide pants with a waist that actually fits you but not at 18east

Lady white co makes great basics, I run the superweighted hoodie almost daily. Occasionally I'll splurge on pants from Acne studios or Studio Nicholson when they have sample sales or a sale on ssense. Also have a few jeans from Oni Denim and Ceeblues that get rotated between throughout the week.

Side note: I am 33 living in NYC, have no kids or payments besides rent, and choose to blow my money on nice shit. I realize these are generally thought of as frivolous purchases to a lot of people, but to me the cost per wear of something quality made vastly outweighs buying something because it's cheap.

Nearly every that I've bought that wasn't thrifted I got at Bobby from Boston. Unfortunately the store closed but I'm 99 you can still order online.

They have the best collection of vintage shit I've ever seen. They got it all and Ive even sold the clothes off my back to the costume people from that movie that had Johnny Depp playing Whitey Bulger.

Got triple the value because of the hassle. I should have asked for a extra slot. I'd probably be working rn.

I got a call back from ghost busters 2 but I got shook and split with my pockets full of catering

I used to live near a university and a Buffalo Exchange thrift store was nearby. It always had the best and newest clothes, especially after Christmas/New year’s.

btw if anyone is in the eu, use vinted. Now arguably  it’s genuinely a complete fuck to find anything of worth on vinted since the algorithm was written by a billion monkeys on faulty typewriters but when it finally knows what you like it usually recommends incredible finds a great cost. It also seems to be somewhat insulated from hypebeasts and fashionistas bizarrely. Now I reckon that since its mostly (to my knowledge) used by french people outside of paris who dont give a shit about superficiality and status it means people sell their clothes for what they’re worth and you can thus find great, solid vintage for cheap.

That store is kinda mean. They know what shits worth then they add a cool factor tax. At least at the one in Allston by my sisters Haus.

Last time I shopped there I had just split from a skate park young adult LSD party.
Total nightmare I should have just gone straight to my sister's haus show.
They they definitely shouldn't have invited me at all. I got loud with a couple people was told don't worry about it everyone is tripping out maaaaan. They don't mean what they are saying.

I'm like bullshit. I've taken hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of trips on good ass shit. I know what it does and don't do.

I spit went to buffalo exchange bought a cute ass shirt with a Brooklyn hat wearing hipster cat on it for way way too much. Then went over to my sister's house to see her band play a sick show with a couple other out of state d beat bands.

Had an excellent time telling the homies that right wing yuppies took over the old spot. We had shows there and everything. Organized against those types of people.

Everyone was talking about my shirt all night too. So fucking fun and insane. My first and last accidental adventure with Q folk

Nordstrom Rack if you have one in your area offer a variety of dressy, casual wear  for the more serious outings. Some may even be skate brands. Also, fairly affordable, with or without holiday sales going on.

Skate shoes have come a long way, and there's a bunch of options if you're looking for good support without sacrificing style. If you're dealing with foot fatigue, you might want to check out shoes with extra cushioning and arch support like Nike SB Dunks or Vans UltraRange. Also, insoles can make a huge difference, so looking into brands like FP Insoles or Superfeet is worth it. I recently came across this place called https://sacfleamarkets.com/ that often has a good selection of new and vintage skate gear.
