To those who have skated both, how do the two spanky shoes feel side by side? Is it the same sole and boardfeel?

I've had a bunch of junk in my trunk, lol I mean literally, to go donate, and realized yesterday I mistakenly had a barely used pair of KSL G6's in there, so I relaced them and am back to skating them again after trying out Hours Is Yours.

I'll be a broken record and say these shoes are so amazing. It's gotta be like the 4th pair in total that I've bought and I really don't understand why you'd discontinue such a good looking and feeling shoe. There's nothing out there these days with the simple round shape that's a good in-between for puffiness, as a cupsole, and not a sport company shoe. I remember when these first came out I didn't think they looked as good as the last Reynolds G6 cupsole that came out, but now I think they look even better.

Agree with everything here, and I feel that this shoe fits my foot better than any other shoe.  I think I mentioned before, if the outsole was just slightly grippier, 10/10 for sure.

I thought it was the Spanky G6 that was getting discontinued, not the KSL?  Regardless, I'm with these guys.  KSL G6 is probably the best shoe I've ever skated. Shape, comfort, looks, durability....It'd be super dumb to get rid of these.

I love how despite not being a literal slip on shoe, you can lace them and they stay secure for endless slip on/off and only have to retie them every once in awhile. Once broken in these are like supportive slippers with laces.

yup, I’m skating in pair at the moment but have had to look into other avenues (NB 440s) because they are getting scarce. Paid full price for them, would be more than happy to pay full price for them if they were a regular in emerica’s line up!
Also, whoever mentioned the fit is spot on; the older I get, the harder it is to get a good fit but these just melt onto my feet/ foot shape …

I know the KSL G6 gets a lot of praise here so I gotta ask, but does anyone else blow out the upper pretty quick? I do a lot of kickflips, but the toe comes apart pretty quick for me. I didn't have that same problem with one piece toe constructions with like the Spanky G6 or Figgy G6

The both are. The black/red/beige KSL that just dropped is the last colourway (if memory serves me correctly). Pretty sure Emerica TM mentioned that the Spanky G6 will be replaced with the Spanky Hi.

Important to note that the Spanky Hi will be with the G6 sole like the low version. All samples show it with that sole, so it's good to see they'll keep using the G6 sole, even if they don't keep specific uppers/models. Gonna miss the KSL G6 but looks like I'll need to stock up a little before they go away for good.

Not to dog pile (because I don't mean to) but are you size 10 in these if you did want to buy them?

Also, have you looked at all the shops that might carry them? I know Emerica, like other brands tag the shops they sell to in some posts on IG. That's how I found at least 2 shops to buy a couple pairs over time.

Meanwhile, stares at my 10 size 11 KSLs in my room. :O
 I guess I'm also part of the problem. Good news is I've skated 2 pairs and wear 2 others to chill in, so they're getting their 15 seconds of fame instead of sitting

Yah I'm size 10 in em. I just did a quick Google search and it only turned up my size in the Shake Junt ones and some white/grey ones. I tried to get some grey Spanky G6 too when they first came out a few months back and had the same issue.

Sorry to hear that. I'm based in the UK, and I'm a UK9/US10 and never seem to have an issue getting my hands on my size.
Looks like there's a fair few pairs of the KSL and Spanky G6 in stock on the EU Emerica site.

I got a pair of Gammas for $30 shipped off their site the other day. I couldn’t say no for that price, although I have a pair of KSL G6s ready to go, and a pair of six month old KSLs headed for the trash.

Does anyone know if the green sole on some of  the ksl colorways and on the shake junt collab does it hold up as good as the gum sole? I need that pour in g6 in my life and  was curious if the green or other colors are as good as the gum?  I’ve had vans with white soles and they was so slick and now I get weird if it’s not gum.

I'm pretty sure it's true across the board that the dyes/pigments they put in the outsole to make them a certain color (other than gum) make the rubber a bit harder and therefore slicker, so that any color outsole is always going to be a bit slicker than gum no matter who the manufacturer is

I just ordered a pair too. For that price it's a steal. Plus I want to try the cupsole and what a better reason to buy a pair lol.
