Pro shoe confirmed
Also no winkowski shoe in either of the catalogs but the servold is still in there with what might be a new vulc sole.

The G is on the inside sidewall, just a lil breathable panel, still no real explanation for why they went with a “G” tho.

Im on my second pair of KSLs. Anyone notice there comes a certain point of wear down where the grip on the sole just goes away? It’s like I have no grip on my deck any more.

Which colorways?

On the white with a gum sole, it stayed incredibly grippy for 90% of the shoe's life for me, which was a collective of 2.5-3 months worn over 7 or so months. Took a break from skating them and came back to them before finishing up.

The black with the green sole was grippy, but felt less grippy than the white from the jump. It probably did lose a good chunk of grip near the end of its life. I was transitioning between an old and a new deck right when I stopped skating my second pair, so I didn't notice any significant loss of grip on new grip tape if it was present.

In short, yeah I lost some grip near the end of its life but didn't affect my skating drastically on old or new griptape.

bring back the Ellington in the split color ways just for me. I started skateboarding around the time Supra began so they were already gone but Baker 3 was still and will always be a favorite of mine.

I had the black ones first and yeah, lost grip. I’m in the white ones now. They are a few months old but still have tread left and I’m noticing it.

But right after that it says "eva foam footbed with arch support" ?

So who the hell knows. Are they talking about a midsole or just the g6 insole?

@EmericaTM any clarification?

EVA means it wont be a g6 insole, it will be the cheapest insole they make.  Right on top of rubber lattice.

Sucks I was really looking forward to these just like the OG-1 but I refuse to buy em because of this bullshit construction.

Correct, there is no G6 insole. Same insole as the OG-1. The Heretic was designed to be a super durable shoe with that full rubber toe cap at $75.

I really do appreciate wading through the depths of asshole responses like mine...  I have to ask pricepoint is 75, how much more would an EVA midsole add to that?  I just cannot imagine die cut foam adds that much cost.

Color me disappointed

Perhaps the launch colors are suede and they'll do vegan follow ups like they're doing with Figgy G6 or what Es/Etnies did with some of their models after they'd been selling already.

Fingers crossed for ya they drop a vegan colorway

If you don't have G6 insoles but have Michelin Etnies, I would suggest trying the STI insoles from those until you can put G6 ones in there. Pretty similar feeling and cushion offered between the two when I've used them in other shoes (Gamma G6, Accel Slim, Dunks, etc.)

For people that've skated them, how do you like the KSL G6s? They're on sale for black friday and I'm considering getting a pair, but I'm also wary of straying from the NB cupsoles I've been really into lately. I did skate a pair of the Spanky G6s a few years back and I liked those. I just need a more supportive cupsole these days.

And are they tts too?

Get them.  You won't regret it.  A little roomier than NB, but I like that.  They are really comfortable and skate great.  Pretty durable too.  My only gripe is they could be a tad grippier, but they work.

I'll cosign the KSL G6! For a sale purchase, I don't think you'll be disappointed with them. I say TTS: whatever your normal size for cupsoles tends to be.

Skated 2 pairs and both lasted me 2 months minimum of skating. Wore them for longer since I rotated with other shoes. Had the black/green and the white/gum. Gum was grippier sole than non-gum one but both are competitively grippy against NB soles.

The fit is classic-ish meets modern.  Not super tapered, but not boxy: a nice in between. Doesnt squeeze your rear/midfoot like some NB do for me. There is some arch support in the stock insole, but it's not much.

The G6 midsole does its job and makes your foot feel cushioned while still offering more than adequate board feel regardless of insole choice. Does take some time to break in the sole but if you skated the Spanky G6, it will feel similar, just more shoe protecting your foot in the upper. Flick is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed kick flip tricks with mine.

Some panels might rip fast (eyelets) but it doesn't make the shoe bag out, surprisingly. Super glue can make these go a long way if you're worried.

2-3 months of skating:
Sole started to feel super thin but everything else was still solid on the upper, even if it looks ripped

Loved the G6 KSL; I didn't love the green sole however, as it turned my grip swampass yellowgreen every time. I'd skate them again, just not the green sole :P (unless they were maaaad cheap).

This and everyone's feedback so far is super helpful, thank you guys!

I've skated the 440 highs, 1010s, and have a pair of the 480s that I've been wearing around but haven't skated yet. I prefer the soles of the 1010 and 480s, the 440s were a little too thin for me. I'm skating a pair of Vans Crockett Highs right now that I used to love but now I can't wait to retire them for something a little more supportive lol

These definitely have more of a "skate shoe" feel than the 1010, which I prefer - they don't hug your foot like the 1010.  The flick feels better on the ksl also - toe and heel for me.  What others have said is correct - the green sole will show on your grip.

No problem @Made In China !

The KSL is for sure in between a 440 and a 1010 (had both but only skated the 440), and is most similar to the 480 (only worn, no skating) out of all you mentioned, but doesn't have the slight arch drop that the 480 does.

I did not experience the green grip staying behind in noticeable amounts on my grip tape. Maybe it's because of how I flick or that I use Mob? Not sure, but it didn't bother me if any did stay behind.

This green residue, is the an NB issue or Emerica?

I just brought a heap of the shake junt figgys and the soles are all green…
