I’m sure it’s somewhere in this thread but can someone confirm for me if G6 is in all colorways of the spanky Hi? I was thinking of getting the blue/black form the emerica site but the bottom sole looks different from the other two colorways. Thanks in advance for anyone who can confirm wtf is going on.

All Spanky Hi models SHOULD have the KSL G6 outsole, but they will have a different foam midsole. No G6 foam midsole. The blue/black will have the correct outsole like the Lotties & Black/White pairs do from what I've seen/heard. Not sure why they're fucking up by using the prior sample product shots, which had the Figgy Dose outsole 

The action shots of Spanky and footage in the blue color show it's the KSL G6 outsole

 I held a black/white pair in hand and they're noticeably lighter feeling with a different foam compared to KSL G6.

The KSL 3 has only gotten better looking to me since the initial photos months/year ago came out. A lot of the sample/promo shots didn't do them justice. Seeing them in the Nine Club Spanky episode, they don't look sad at all. They look pretty quality, especially the leather colorways.

They are using the Mute sole, which does fit/feel wider (to me) and I'm keen on getting at least one pair of these to try!

Seems like a nitpicking non-issue, but that's just me. You'll see slight variation in the way panels sit on all shoes from all brands. Especially if they use different materials for different colorways.

Enough to hate it? That feels egregious, but do you i guess

And its not a paneling variation. Its a construction issue.

Either the whole upper is lower or the sole is higher.

Either way its probably because of a cheaper construction in the regular cws. Probably something with de mid sole quality or thickness.

The sole: midsole/outsole are the exact same on all colorways,  just different colors: gum vs white vs black, etc. There should be no change in the sole construction, so it's not that.

It's most likely a small QC issue on the way that suede side panel was stitched together when glued to the outsole on that specific navy pair. Other product shots of the navy don't have that same issue if you look online or see photos by shops on IG.

Only the navy colorway has the possible qc issue, the other colors don't have any issues in any of the promo shots

I take back the negative things I said about the ksl 3 after seeing all the in person photos of the shoe they look so much better than initial product shots. That little promo video they put out for the shoe also just sells it even more imo. I’ve always loved Emerica even through all the hate and I’d be happy to keep supporting the company, and especially supporting spanky. Ordered the black pair myself but will swap to black laces. I hate contrast laces lol

I've been tempted to try them,  but not sure what size to get in them because I've heard they're narrow. Also, same sole as OG-1, which I enjoy quite a bit! I'm a pretty big fan of the heretic, specifically because it is not super puffy. I'm a TTS 12 and the 12 fits me perfect. Last week I got a pair of the OG1's and hated them because they are much more padded and all that padding caused them fit much smaller even though they are on the same sole/last, so I had to return them.
All that to say, if you like the level of padding in the OG1, you will probably be disappointed by the comparatively thinner padding in the heretic.

I should add that I also enjoy skating MC Rap Low, Marana, Joslin, Dunks (low and high), etc. which are less padded and more trim (like Heretics) than the OG-1. I just don't like chuck Taylor thin kinda uppers where there's no padding at all, so I'm open to the thinner amount of padding in the Heretics if it still feels like enough is there.
