The shoe looks good. That's established. Critiquing QC issues on a sample VS promo VS production pairs is something else. Something not foreign to Slappers lol

I don't skate NBs but given the sizing issues people complain about in the thread, I wouldn't be surprised if people do.

Did any one of the pals try the Heritic? I think it looks nice from the photos I saw.
[close]
Skated two pairs, kinda narrow at first but they break in good
[close]

I was worried they weren't gonna feel padded enough when I saw them in person. How's the collar/tongue padding feel as you broke them in?

I've been tempted to try them,  but not sure what size to get in them because I've heard they're narrow. Also, same sole as OG-1, which I enjoy quite a bit! Wasn't sure if I should get the same size (OG MJ: 12) or go down to an 11.5. Any emerica selling shops near me stopped at 11 when I checked previously, so I couldn't try on to see.
[close]
I'm a pretty big fan of the heretic, specifically because it is not super puffy. I'm a TTS 12 and the 12 fits me perfect. Last week I got a pair of the OG1's and hated them because they are much more padded and all that padding caused them fit much smaller even though they are on the same sole/last, so I had to return them.
All that to say, if you like the level of padding in the OG1, you will probably be disappointed by the comparatively thinner padding in the heretic.
[close]

I should add that I also enjoy skating MC Rap Low, Marana, Joslin, Dunks (low and high), etc. which are less padded and more trim (like Heretics) than the OG-1. I just don't like chuck Taylor thin kinda uppers where there's no padding at all, so I'm open to the thinner amount of padding in the Heretics if it still feels like enough is there.

Appreciate the sizing info you experienced,  thank you!!!
as someone who is contemplating both the heretics and OG-1’s I’m enjoying this discussion, but should just skate the pair of KSLs I have on ice…

I get the design being Olympic like on the tounge, but should have kept the horses instead of the 3 E logo imo
Are the horses mentioned somewhere? I can't find them in either of those links.

I don’t know. I like it and he just released a ruca line with horses all over those.   Might get to be a bit much if he becomes skate Catherine the great

They need the most help, meaning some kind of brand recognition. I’m not a fan of the logo either but I see why they do it.

My KSL III came in the mail, I got the white leather colorway. I got to say they are even better in person! It felt like I was unboxing an Emerica shoe from 2008. They are TTS and a wee bit on the wider side. Very happy with my purchase and if they make some cool future colorways I will buy in an instant.

Nice! I'm kinda glad to hear there on the wider side rather than narrow I'm torn on all black suede or the white leathers

kinda split on that lookbook. definitely more cupsole options than in prior years, and the brown bling Mute coming looks great. but also seems a tad lazy to just slap the triangle right in the middle of the side panel and call it finished. also saw they're recycling Stay Gold and Defy campaigns from ~20 years ago in the apparel section?

Just got a pair of the black ones. Really loving the look and feel of em straight away, and can’t wait to skate them. Same sole as the Mutes which I really liked, they’re a good balance of boardfeel and support in a cupsole IMO. I also like that it’s putting money in Spanly’s pocket. I’d say they’re kinda like a wider and slightly more supportive 440

yeah! Especially since I’m not really feeling that mute colourway (but really love the all black as well as the burgundy ones)
