Koston was the one haemorrhaging $$$$ for this project, makes sense to pull the plug on it after Jake and Curren left

How was he hemorrhaging money?   He and plunkett were running it when it peaked team-wise…they’re both gone now along with all the riders they brought

girl 30 year anniversary, 20 years of yeah right, seemed like he’s on good terms with rick & mike after that whole anniversary get together. it makes the most sense to me. fa would be weird, primitive would be too. primitive doesn’t seem like the kind of company to have “legacy” pros on, they’re more about having a clean cut, polished, “elite” current top tier pro team, even franky villani getting on seemed off. april could work but wouldn’t really be exciting at all. if not girl then put him on grimple stix, at least until he gets fully on something kind of like how they did with evan smith.

Oh oh oh I completely misread that post.  I thought it was Koston was causing the hemorrhage.  My bad!

Is Staba’s pizza any good?
Partner teaches down the street from it and we eat there for lunch a couple times a week, it’s actually pretty good but besides Teddy, most of the workers are unbelievably fried and will forget you even ordered at times. Still nice though

Koston on girl is iconic. It would be silly for him and girl to not get back together. There is also a Sean Sheffey board coming out too.

If Koston is trying to operate a board brand which does anything other than function as a tax write off, then he needs better financial advisers.

The frank villani scoop by primitive was extremely smart. Franky puts the brand in front of so many other people that wouldn't even consider looking at a primitive deck.

Girl would be awesome. Id say he'd pick april over primitive though if it came down to those two.

A little wild to think of telling Fully Flared era Koston and Mariano that in 15 years their board sponsor will not be Crailtap but instead a quiet Austrailian kid who is am on Fourstar

Girl seems cheap. Like when he went to Nike. Primitive feels strange like he’d be the odd man out on that roster. Same with April. Would love to see him on Krooked.

Where tf is that April Guy part btw?

Who fumbled the bag harder: Numbers Edition or Skate Mental?
Both had stacked squads for a minute & both appear to have squandered the opportunity to exploit that asset.
Discuss.

Additionally, is this the end for Staba’s little hobby project? If so, will Big Time cease to exist, leaving Tired adrift & rudderless in a rising sea of uncertainty?

Honestly… now that I think about it, I don’t really give a shirt.  I reckon I just like having something to speculate over.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me… You think you got me?

Bc Koston knows how to put a good team
Together on top of the decks, but has no luck with what goes on the bottom of the them

(I mean graphics, if that wasn’t too labored)

Why would Koston start funding his friends joke board company with its best days behind it? I always assumed Nike was putting money towards it like when they told Trevor Colden to leave Mystery for SM. Hell Staba was on Savier so he knows a thing or 2 about Nike shadow companies

Beats me...........but how do you think they went from being out of business/run out of the back of Stabas pizza shop to having a warehouse in DTLA with a full range of product basically overnight?

I would love to see a new brand out of Girl that’s run by Koston and McCrank. Those two working together has been magical in past projects like Menikmati and Yeah Right.

Plunkett left SM and running Tired brand. Seems like a possible move for Koston to Tired.
