I can see it coming back like éS, with sort of updated models and keeping some of the original feel for the old heads and making new shit not many people pay attention to have a relevant feel while having a decent team. Maybe an indecisive, in-between feel.

Pivot from rasta to earthy-outdoors and it could maybe work. I'm probably a little outdated but like, ACG Arcteryx, Grammici, Carhartt, GoreTex and Soloman. IDK I like that shit even though I don't really buy that stuff. I guess you can make it for skaters, but an appeal beyond that like how people could be into Carpet, Polar, , Hockey, Butter Goods, etc. Maybe those aren't the best examples but it's stuff I've seen people who don't skate wearing that stuff.

Ah whatever, I don't know shit.

I watched this so many times.  I think it came free with one of the mags at the time.  So good.

I´m a sucker for skate nostalgia but has there ever been a case where resurrecting an old brand actually worked? I probably won´t get the new cats and keep on wearing my wallabees.

Never been a big fan of the shoes (but the team) and the logo always looked like a bull scratching its armpits to me. Nonetheless I really hope they dont fuck up and make all of you happy with the reboot. Good luck lads

I think this could work in the now ...

Hemp/Canvas with vegan glues for the earthy examples of each model

Tech materials (maybe also all synthetic) for the tech examples of each model

Bring back the 3-4 most popular models and keep them as true to the original as possible

Bring on (trying to think of current skaters who match the vibes of the original team) ...
Karl Watson (need at least one legend for launch)
Chris Colbourn
Tyson Peterson
Ryan Lay

I think this is a great idea and makes sense, but I think kicking it off with that post and those mentions and hashtags give you a real insight into how this thing is going to go.

I don’t think satori Craig has enough capital, but they could have maybe made this happen in a halfway decent way. Regardless, Ipath shoes went downhill after timberland acquisition. The quality of 2002ish Cats will never return.

Considering Timberland owns them, what did you expect? The brand would do very well if it did come back and plenty of people would fit …

It seems like Erick Winkowski has something good going with Emerica but he takes up the most pro weed and shrooms marketing in skateboarding today so they might as well endorse him.

I would 100% buy black/black Cat’s with gum soles and I’ve never owned a pair of IPath in my life.

Just let something great stay dead

You can’t go home again.

This has the vibe of Blueprint 2.0 with Mike York and that Tosh Townend look-a-like dread having white boy. It’s not good. Not good at all.

There is basically zero chance of this shit being good. 100% this will just be a half assed Sanuk hippie lifestyle brand. Probably won't ever get as far as sponsoring any skaters. Even if they tried to do it right I'm not confident that they could considering there were basically two ipath identities and the white rasta one is the one with more mainstream appeal.

An ipath reboot, if done right, has the best upside potential of maybe any defunct skate brand.

And, obviously, hitting us with the #zumiez is FOR SURE the way to go.

White dread having Tosh Townend look-a-like is actually pro for the killing floor now. I haven’t kept track of his career but I found that out a couple of months ago and it honestly surprised me. He also ditched the dreads and looks much better now imo. @josh_love on IG.

Financially, I think the Plan B reboot was eventually successful. Shit is positively wack though

As much as it would be cool if done right ... they've been sitting on the company for like a decade I think.  I don't think anything will happen.

any reboot needs to include Grasshopper and Reed Mid

last reboot wasn't too bad in retrospect... but nostalgia always has you seeing things rosier than they were at the time
