For some odd reason he showed up on my IG feed and I got a good chuckle remembering this guy exists. I checked the Flip site and was *shocked and appalled* to see he was no longer on the site!

I Googled ‘Ben Nordberg Slap’ to see if you fine folks had more recent news, and I saw people saying he was pro for SOVRN a couple years back. I see no Ben Nordberg decks on their site.

I am SHOCKED and VERY DISAPPOINTED to see that our sweet boy seems to have no deck sponsor backing him. As we all know, he is a very focused young man known for hitting the big street spots on the regular. Gosh damn, what a loss…

Obviously 99% of you know I’m joking around… I’m not shocked to see he seems to have no sponsors anymore. I suppose he’ll ride off into the sunset doing a bigflip back noseblunt stall on a mini ramp a couple times a year, and continue his brave foray into the fashion modeling world. All whilst holding a deep secret shame and resentment that he’ll never be as hot as Dylan was / never have Dylan’s effortless “it-boy” factor.

I wonder how many street tricks Ben Nordberg even filmed in the last few years of his careers on deck sponsors? I think I remember seeing some (i.e. about as many as you can count on a single hand) flip-to-stall tricks on a couple banks… simply pretending he was comfortably back at home on a smallish mini ramp.

Partly, yes. He also only released like 95% mini ramp/quarter pipe/bank footage during his tenure as a sponsored skater. On all aforementioned obstacles, he would basically ONLY do assorted flip-to-stall tricks. Almost never slid ‘em. Legitimately almost NEVER really skated other spots.

Personally I hate him because he’s so sexy. It’s that distracting I can’t enjoy the meagre footage he did put out.

Didn’t even know he was on. I don’t “hate” him but def not someone I’m stoked on. I saw him skate Tampa Pro a couple times and I’m pretty sure he didn’t land a single trick in his runs. Maybe only a few during practice. Looking at his Instagram now and it seems like mostly LA SoCal park clips. Good tricks but normal stuff you’d see from any good skater there. This bigspin noseblunt revert at the volcano QP was sick though.

i rmember being moderately interestd in watchign this emaciated mannequin skate around the time of this video, it was obvious he could rip a big ramp and had the potential to get a bunch of padless vert clips but now looking back it's obvious he was never really into skating or falling out of love with it getting onto flip, and i'm sure the time chris cole got baited by that fake ig account and told ben how his career was a dead end didnt help

Comeback 2024 - he's gon' start going ham doing WILD tricks off crust banks over BIG picnic tables, hit unique handrail spots (often switch, doing front shoves and all sorts of 180 variations onto the rail) in narrow alleys with iffy run-ups, and more. Most certainly we'll see the lad huck some FAT unexpected flip tricks over the blocks at JKOWN & hellride up north to do wild SF hillbombs popping balls-out on flip tricks - unprovoked and often even without a filmer - on flat at FULL speed (doin' it for the PHELPER, mannn... he'll be smiling down), right in the middle of the most death-defying moments of the speediest downhill rides even the most ~core~ fellas had never dreamed up. He's gonna be our guy!

Whew, he'll be a nervous wreck when he was to choose between Krooked, Hockey, Quasi, Sci-Fi Fantasy, Jacuzzi Unlimited & Polar. Undoubtedly, representing Dime as a clothing sponsor. Juggling offers between Nike, Adidas, Converse & New Balance.
The guy'll be coming up faster than the aftermath of our loaded plates at a 1PM visit to a Chinese buffet in South Dakota, and I'm sure he'll fave full support from all of us.

My Chinese Zodiac? I'm ditching the Dragon, petitioning it to just be 'year of the 'Berg'. I'll be hosting a support group on Discord for all the others here with that unquenchable thirst for the Nordberg renaissance.
