I just can’t believe they actually went against 2a
They’ll sacrifice any beliefs to “own the libs.”
And they’ll still run on the platform in 2028 that the Democrat candidate is going to take your guns.
I think Marco is the only one who could run on that since he hasn’t had any video of him saying that. You’ve got even the NrA criticizing these guys
Sadly, any Republican will just play the “I didn’t say that” and/or “That’s not true” line and their followers will just go with it.
Sure, but a lot of this is in service to Trump who gets that rarefied treatment. I’m curious to see how they are treated when they stand on their own and start fighting dirty with each other to secure the nomination.
Trump gets the pass for sure, but others have used it successfully.
Hell, one of the biggest ones was when Lindsay Graham said "use my words against me" when saying on record how we should not seat a SCOTUS during an election year (11 months before the election), denying Obama a nomination, but helped push Trump's seating of Coney Barret weeks before the election. His followers said it was doctored video.
In 2022, when Marjorie Taylor Green when in a hearing of whether she should be allowed on the ballot after rallying about fraud in 2020, whenever records were brought up, she responded with "I don't remember saying that" then following up with "that's doctored video" whenever evidence was pulled and shown from her social media accounts.
In 2020, Sen. Ron Johnson, helped spread the "election fraud" misinformation, then when presented the video in 2024, he said, "I didn't say that."
In all situations, MAGA believed the narrative and fought against the truth.
I honestly don't think their lies will ever backfire on them.
