Akwasi does far too many wallie and wallride tricks.  I get the sense that he feels he’s being creative, but he does so many of them, it’s become the opposite.

He runs them so much to the point where it feels a little gimmicky. He's still probably the best skater doing wallie/wallride/slappy variations right now tho, but he could mix it up a little bit. Hopefully he does in the new Sci-Fi video

I feel this with Spanky. I'm so sick of his sw noseslide shit he does in every video (fakie flip or 270 out), token tall slappy, sw wallie, and shitty front big spin where the rear wheels never level out. You reinvented yourself with those same tricks 6 years ago, keep progressing that don't just release the same footage at different spots.

I think Akwasi stands out because of all the wallrides... plus his cool style and wacky outfits. I'm down for more wallrides and appreciate his balance of hesh and tech.

Seconded. I also think he seems like a genuinely interesting and creative dude where skating is just one part of his way of expressing himself where everything he works on comes together. I resonate with that. Nothing wrong with being a 100% skate rat of course either.

I like nowadays Spanky also.

I'm tired of wallrides, ride on grinds, slappies, etc in the middle of 5th avenue to be cool because you have Supreme somewhere on you, name it. Maybe I'm off the volcano bag and watching Friday too early in the morning and my Jamaica Avenue upbringing is coming out in this rant and I'm being a dick but I miss watching dudes throw their carcasses all over the Brooklyn Banks and Long Island spots. East coast skating used to have some kind of risk and balls to it. Idk what the fuck Dill was thinking not letting people put their bodies on the line knowing what him and AVE and Gino used to do. What the fuck. Suciu is murdering everyone over there.
