I have an opportunity to email Roger directly. I asked him about working on the Save Skateboarding project because I am really interested in that, and I sent him the spreadsheet I made about trucks. He wrote me back and gave me his email address and said he was stoked on it. Then I saw the interview + thread, and I got a bit bummed and have felt really conflicted the past few days.

I don't really believe in tearing people down anymore at this point in my life. is there anything helpful that I could say to him?
They have given some shitty people platforms and shown a major lack of empathy on sensitive topics is what seems to be what is bumming a lot of us out. I think everyone wants to like the 9 club from a fan perspective and wants them to succeed... and does not wish bad things on those people... I am not very good at navigating these kind of things :(
People love to hate, judge, virtue signal... and have no interest in seeing someone succeed. We're all guilty of it, some more often than others. The feeling of superiority it gives is intoxicating, especially if you have some insecurities (and who doesn't). I would recommend you just stay out of it.

hey, does anyone here happen to have any good information about trucks? Like maybe a chart or a spreadsheet or something? I just can't seem to find anyone willing to share anything!

Dear Roger, probably best if you don't swing by Slap anytime soon, they are having a Roger Bagley pile-on, that at the last count, amounted to 13 pages of hating on you. To be fair you kind of asked for it, but still.....

This is a wild overgeneralization. There is no evidence that  people "love to hate" as a rule, none. However, people often criticize or judge others for reasons beyond a sense of superiority, such as ethical concerns, frustration, or a desire for social change. Moreover, not everyone is naturally critical, many people are often either indifferent or genuinely support others’ success. It's easier just to say you don't like these sorts of discussions or don't think they have value rather than making broad and baseless pronouncements about human behavior.

There's a new nine club clip video entitled "Roman Pabich's "Sponsor Me 2025" Part Is INSANE"

I don't think the wording is a coincidence. Leaning into it just as his goofy culture war grift heroes would

Happy the dude quit drinking, but is sitting in a dark editing room buttchugging insane parts really any better?

Rog is the best person on that show!
Chris is a geek ( in a bad way)
Jeron would rather be somewhere else
Kelly (love his skating) is an airhead

He keeps it real and brings up actually interesting topics/ touches on subjects that others shy away from.
That raiders of the archives stuff he drops is super fire flames my guy.

rog was the best of nine,
he was the worst of nine,
he was a wealth of skate knowledge,
he was a washed up bigot…

I need more evidence to call him a bigot. From my experience he looked everyone all the time. Not Doug. I don’t think he could do that. But if you was checking in to skate there was a chance you’re kit or your gear could get clowned by he and whatever kids are near by. They usually started it and Roger would follow suit.

Then I’d get out there and start snake rattle and roll. After my like fourth or fifth visit, I assume I became written off as the quiet kid you don’t bother. He was ok. It was best to try and talk with him when he was outside not at work

But other than picking on kids who are poor, I haven’t seen him do anything else that would lead me to Archie bunker him off

Can we plz do a collective open letter to the 9 club from pals?

I been shadow banned forever. Idk if it’s because I told them to phone PJ as a life line for who wants to be a millionaire game. The question was what country is the Taj Mahal in? Mike no and Crob was struggling. So I typed Phone Pj I wanna know if he knows.

Or it’s Tim hates slap. Cuz I texted our logo circles and boom. I was full banned. Crab even said that we can’t tell. We just keep typing along and engaging and no one ever sees it.  So I got a second device and checked.  Yep. Shadow banded.

I used to get mad love. I even got a lil crush on chris. But yeah I’m not allowed there. Out sucks. Is it cuz I said no to a stop and chat? In though that was a joke

I couldn't agree with you more

pj is a sikh
sikh population in india is less than 2%, and he's american
PJ is a sikh like the followers of Jim Jones' People Temple were regular pentecostal christians.

I won't go into all the details (again: https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=114617.msg3466445#msg3466445); The short version he is a member of an American cult that is an offshoot of an American cult founded in the sixties by someone appropriated and made up his own version of the Sikh religion and yoga practice. There is an HBO series out right now called Breath of Fire that covers all the fraud and sex abuse and so on.

I can tell you that most Punjabi Sikhs, in America and Canada but especially in India, do not have a high opinion of these dogmatic and holier-than-thou white people trying to align themselves with their religion.

I respect PJ's personal choice to follow and dedicate his life in whatever direction he wants. He does not appear to be recruiting for the group, so good for him.

Also, those Roger twitter likes and comment captures are damning. Definitely not listening to Nine Club anymore.
Warm Up Zone. Let's watch some skateboarding videos.

I used to regularly listen, and loved the 9 club (years ago).  Looked forward to Mondays.  Then the Jason Jesse/Mark Oblow/ fiasco.  They don't have a backbone and are boring, that's it.  Also, I couldn't take how out of touch everyone is.  I guess that's what happens when all you do is skate, and everything else is skate related.  Just end the damn show.  Gary V? Huberman? Get the fuck out of here. I guess the older I get I realize how stupid the idols I used to have are.

I have probably listened to 10-20 hrs tops of the 9 club, and probably about half that of the bunt.
none of that stuff is hyper interesting to me to be honest. couple really good episodes out of like hundreds...
I check the quartersnacks post every saturday am, that is a rad thing they have going
jenkem i mostly just check the instagram posts, i dont often click the site that much if i am being honest

the chrome ball incident, i am pretty sure I have read every single one... maybe I just like that format alot more. sometimes i need to rewind and stuff and text is just way more condusive in this sense.

so i guess at the end of the day you guys are right. fuck em. its really not a significant impact on my life whether 9 club exist or not, is it?

DEAD SKULL SURPRISE

1 medium sized onion
1 bouillon cube (beef or chicken)
1 lump of butter
1 handful of peppers, spices or other con- coction of fire.

Take the onion (skull), peel it, then dig a big hole in the top. Not too big. Stuff the but-ter in along with the bouillon and the remaining ingredients, then cap with the innards of the onion. Wrap the skull in foil. Preheat
oven, maybe 350°, for about five minutes. Put in skull, wait until it's extremely tender,
then take it out of the oven. Eat it layer by
layer, but take off the foil first.
