I hate cold cereal. There, I said it.

It takes forever to eat and is frustratingly unportable. Not to mention I would much rather have something warm in the morning than a bowl of sugary, gritty, discolored milk.

I'm sorry, but yuck.

^And feel free to quote me to switch that 'but yuck' to 'but fuck.' I would have done it.

maybe i should have thrown this up in the "stoked but not stoked" thread but you reminded me so here it is. yesterday i lurked on an older gentalman in a la baron parked in front of a del taco.  he caught my eye because he was sporting a healthy Burt Reynolds and aggressively shoveling whatever combo he just bought into his mouth. and with out fail everytime he got his mouth full of garbled del taco, he raised an open bottle of pepto to his lips and took a healthy chaser to help the shit down. and every single time, as he slowly lowered the bottle a look of imminence satisfaction would settle on his face. i pointed it out to my homies and we all watched as he repeated the process until that little pink bottle of heaven was empty. both hilarious and completely depressing in perfect symmetry.

I'm not into dry cereal, I need something to wash it down with with the dry morning mouth going on. I'm also not into peanut butter cereals besides Reese's Puffs. Or honey-cereals.. I threw up all over a convenience store floor when I was five after eating Honey Nut Cheerios & it took me years to try it again. I still can't eat it.

And this comes into my head every time I go for the sausage-egg-and-cheese hangover cure.

Does anyone else like to mix various boxes of cereal?  I ate some peach honey bunches of oats mixed with honey nut cheerios the other day and it was amazing.  I'm going to go mix the rest of those cheerios with some rice chex now.

No, but it sounds like a good idea.  I love me some cereal!  So much that sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and eat it while half-asleep.

froot loops and apple jacks is a classic one. Golden grahams + chocolate lucky charms= s'mores cereal.

My favorite cereal is the vanilla yogurt oatmeal crisp. I can't find it anywhere anymore though, I can only find the vanilla almond. Does anybody know if they discontinued that flavour? Do you guys still get it in the states?

I don't know if you all have had Malt-O-Meal's Blueberry Muffin Tops cereal, but it is probably the best cereal ever.

Something else - my friend informed me last weekend that he made some Fruity Pebble rice-krispy treats.  I can't imagine how good that would be.

Anyone else remember Chet Thomas in that Cheerios commercial in like '93?

Cheerios and Apple Jacks are a good combo. Or Cinnamon Toast Crunch and French Toast Crunch.

i usually only mix cereals out of necessity, that is, if i run out of cereal and the bowl is still half-empty (im a pessimist)

but some of these ideas sound damned delicious

Dude, fruity pebble rice krispie treats are amazing. There is a company in california that makes weed versions of them. I've only had that kind though because I'm too lazy to actually make them.

And blueberry muffin tops look amazing. Throw those suckers in with some Cinnamon toast crunch and I bet it would be amazing.

the blueberry muffin tops cereal is the bizness.

i usually buy the freezedried strawberries from trader joes and crush them into any cereal that needs strawberries (aka every cereal ever made). my favorite mix is probably crunch berries mixed with peanut butter bumpers. with strawberries.

...and I thought seeing that Text Yo Self thread earlier was bad.

I think we should start using the new board section as a garbage dumb for this type of waste.  That way the threads are out of our sight, while the creators of said threads can't cry about their threads being deleted.  Anyone who wants to go have serious discussion about those topics could still do so.

That being said, does anyone else like to mix various boxes of cereal?  I ate some peach honey bunches of oats mixed with honey nut cheerios the other day and it was amazing.  I'm going to go mix the rest of those cheerios with some rice chex now.

Sounds like a recipe for a serious corn syrup buzz. Too rich for my blood.

Fruity Pebbles & Trix

The Berrics has/had Fruitopia machines or some bullshit like that. I'm pretty sure that it's under Coca-Cola distribution.

I ate Cocoa Pebbles weed treats on the plane ride home from Las Vegas last weeks.

I love Honey Bunches of Oats. I like Cheerios with bananas and or and kind of berries.

I have an intense hatred for Grape Nuts. It's like eating gravel. They absorb all the milk, but don't soften up.

This talk of Blueberry Muffin Tops piqued my curiosity so I consulted cleverbot.

User: Have you tried that Blueberry Muffin top cereal?

Cleverbot: No. What human gender do you associate most with?

User: I dind't know breakfast cereals could be gender specific.

Cleverbot: What do you think clever means?

User: Like Beaver Clever?

Cleverbot: No. They are all gentles and I'm gentle with them.

User: You shouldn't be too hard on the Beaver.

Cleverbot: You shouldn't either.

User: Anyway, back to the subject at hand. Are you saying Blueberry Muffin Tops are for men or for women?

Cleverbot: It's true for anyone of either gender.

User: OK, thanks for your input!
