Our new house is finally finished and ready to move into, stoked.

It took 3 months longer than projected and they never layed sod before the snow fell, bummer

House is 3800sq ft. Major upgrade and alot more space, stoked

Huge kitchen, stoked

Moving, not stoked. I hate the act of moving and buying shitloads of beer so my friends will help lol

Hellllll yeah. Nice job.

god damn.
good for you, man. i bet its nice.
[close]

Thanks man! Yep it's nice. Only took me 18 years to save enough to pay for it up front. Fuck a mortgage. Only had to save $1500 a month for 18 years(a fucking feat in itself, especially in my early 20's)

Now to pay for the garage/skatepark next year(hopefully).

I was quoted at 36 grand but I'm guessing it'll be more like 45
[close]
Holy shit, congrats.
Meanwhile I just realized I ate/drank my money from my first job and shitting it about taxes. Any tips?

Work your ass off. Hopefully you land decent paying positions by mid 20's, and the secret my dad taught me, "if you can't afford all your bills/food on one pay cheque, you can't afford anything else.

Also helps that I met my wife 10 years ago and she has a good career too so then I could really power save.

Plus I invested wisely (more of a luckout than anything)

OR don't work your ass off and live your life in an enjoyable way because you are for sure going to die and spending your life working just so you can buy a big box is pretty stupid. Just for some differing perspective.

Apparently last Saturday I was so drunk that while I was puking all over my friend's bathroom, I asked him to leave so I could take a shit. He unlocks the bathroom and comes in to see me passed out on the bathroom floor with my pants around my ankles (slightly unrelated but it's also worth mentioning that he kept taking shots the entire time he was helping me). He woke me up and told me to wipe my ass and pull up my pants, to which I asked "why?" It took him five minutes to convince me to do it. I remember absolutely none of this.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

I was tested for Parkinson's about 6 years ago because I'm always really shaky. I never noticed it, but everyone else did and my parents made me get tested because it runs in my family. It's very hard to diagnose in someone my age and they wouldn't even give me an MRI to try to rule it out. The doctors said that I'm just a shaky dude. My tremors have gotten worse since then to the point where I notice myself getting pretty bad with my hands. It's nothing like a older person with PD if you've ever seen them, but it's making me worried and I probably going to have to go through a bunch more doctor visits again to see if I'm alright. Could just be that my caffeine tolerance is going down, but I don't even drink anything more than maybe 20oz of coffee a day. Normally I just take a 16oz travel mug to work and I don't finish it. Either way, it's been getting me down lately because I don't know if I'll be able to make the tremors go away or not.

I'm really stoked that I got into the MBA program I've told my friends and family for the past two years that I was going to apply for. Feels good to actually make moves instead of just saying I'm going to make them. Classes start in January.

I got woken up by some dudes my landlord hired to do work on my house. But I'm getting a new furnace, and they're listening to the scorpions while they work.

It's not ridiculous, you chat to your co-workers and people in the store too, you can go for a cigarette or coffee break... You don't need to do drugs Bawtawd

I've done this job before... U need drugs in my professional opinion. At my work there were no customers during the night and the co-workers didn't speak English and the ones who did, I really wish they didn't.

Listened to a lot of Mitch Hedberg during my shifts though...

Yeah no customers and and I work with anti-socials. My boss smokes cigarettes for 30 minutes straight pacing back and forth on lunch break. Then the other guy smells like shit, that wet dog white people smell, coming from his shoes. Then just some fat kid, none of them like to talk.

Although I skipped out on work today cause I have a perfect excuse, but since my sleep schedule changed Im just sitting here at 5AM like, fuck. And theres a nug sitting on a table but I cant smoke it cause I think its a trap.

It's fine for him to be on drugs at his job because it's the kind of job meant for people who can't not be on drugs long enough to do something else. A robot can do it but would cost more than some people who just need somewhere to go at night.

Really sorry about the potential Parkinson's JB. I'd keep going to doctors that take your insurance until you can find one willing to get you properly tested. The sooner you find out, the better.

Uh...my ex finally moved out, after 3 months since the breakup.

But now I'm stuck with the payment for a gigantic apartment for the next couple months until the lease is up.

can you move to a cheaper place before your lease is up? call up the landlord and ask if you have to pay the full term or if you can get out of it if they can find another person who wants it before the end of your lease. if you're in a high demand area, they might be able to find someone who wants to move in as soon as you're able to move out. thats how it works where i live.

Not really. I'm in some gigantic complex near my work, owned by some mega realty company where they rent to you for "less than market rate" and then if you break the lease they go back and recalculate your rent for the whole year at the "market rate" which would mean 3-4k due if I were to break it. High demand for these places would be a no too, otherwise I would be gone.

GK - Yes to nude smoking. And yeah, we were bringing people back to bang, but not usually on the couch.

I said some harsh asshole shit to my wife last night...

Not fuckin stoked and I feel like shit mentally.

But she took my apologies like an amazing women(like she is) and just said "don't worry, my ex was waaaaay worse, I love you and I realize it was just a mistake"

Fuck I love her

But I'm still bummed I actually did that. Stress got the best of me and I acted like a complete asshole.
