Went to the doctor and my spleen is swollen and he's asked me to stop skateboarding. Out of fear I have been trying to lay off it.
But, on the bright side rediscovered an anime I thought was a fever dream and it has 2 more seasons.
And now I can catch up and start new shows without feeling as guilty
[close]
You have to stop skating forever? And how you gonna say some shit like that without dropping the name?

I'm going through screening and orientation process of starting electroconvulsive therapy and the videos they showed me actually got me shook. Also I won't be able to drive for 6 weeks. Which means I have to figure out how to survive and pay rent with no income for the second time in a year. Positive perspective is at least I can say I got my brain zapped up and that's cool.

Hope things work out well. Positive thoughts L33t!!!

And for 8 weeks. It's until we're sure the swelling goes down out of fear that I slam or take impact weird and it bursts.
As for the anime it's FLCL
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

my colleague twisted her ankle and therefore cancelled a
conference in washington we were about to go next month.
stoked: no stress to build a paper to present in a limited
number of days and instead i have some more time this
next month to go on needed vacation with my girl. cool.

I am planning my wedding in foreign territory and suggested that we keep it small, then throw a big party. My fiance broke down and said she wants all of her family to see the ceremony. Bummed I don't get my tiny wedding but stoked that she opened up about what would make her happy for the big day.

Stoked: gonna get myself a dog
Not stoked: rescue organizations and the hoops they make you jump through. 350 for adopting a dog seems a bit steep but whatever, they need money. Two page application with vet references, neighbor references, work references, and more dumb questions they don’t need to know. Your house must have a fence. They require at least ten days to verify everything. Then a home visit. Then maybe they let you pay them to adopt it.

It would be easier to just buy a puppy from a breeder.

That is so fucked up, I bet its probably easier to purchase a gun.

Where are you at? Is it the city/county/state that mandates all of that?

spent my whole life doubting myself to the point where i never fully tried to do anything. realizing it now and making improvements but it sucks not being able to get hired at a fucking dollar store which makes one feel like a shitbag.

went into therapy and it's helping, realizing i am who i've always thought i was and that i dont hate myself anymore or as much as before. skating has been my saving grace, i can't seem to connect with any person around my area so i just hide work on music and skate. i used to hate being alone but now i kinda dig it. it's a bummer realizing a lot about yourself so late in life and being a situation to do little about fixing it..

so in short im stoked i know myself truly but not stoked on the season my life is currently in..think season 31 but i shoulda been canceled around season 21

I had my second round of ECT this morning. I can tell you that after the first session there was an immediate change to my personality and perspective for the better. I haven't even thought about suicide for the past three days once. I've become far more outgoing and less fearful of....everything. The night of the first treatment I even found myself fucking around on dating sites and messaging every single match I got whether it happened a year ago, I found them unattractive, or had clashing tastes and personalities. Oh, and I went ahead and paid for Tinder so I could swipe indefinitely, and oh did I ever swipe. I started with 2 matches with very homely ladies. Then after, and because of, my swiping blitz, I ended up with 18 matches and some of them are even good. I've been messaging many of them back and forth.

What I'm not stoked on is the fact that ECT is hurting my body something fierce. I assume it's the anesthesia, but I don't think it should be this bad. I think it's the combination of my regular fasting plus the anesthesia fasting. I'm basically fasting twice a day before my scheduled sessions. Anyway, all my muscles are sore and my throat is in constant pain. I can barely swallow anything. Most of all my neck hurts so goddamn bad all the time and will not give me a fuckin' break. To top it off, I'm not allowed to drive so I have to try to bum rides of people all the time. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get behind the wheel today, though. I've got to turn in my rent check and I am not about to be hit with a late fee or have to ride the bus for 2 hours and then walk up a giant hill instead of taking what should've been a 15 minute drive. Wish me luck.

Just passed thirty days sober, stoked on mornings and not fixating on booze after 4pm

Kinda not stoked on the constant awareness I have to maintain when it comes to alcohol commercials, conversations about booze and just being around it, making sure I don't unconsciously start thinking alcohol is good again. It's fuckin everywhere.

I eventually want to see if I can just have a drink hanging out with people, but then I remember I don't like how i become an asshole under the influence.

Anyway, stoked and not stoked. Kratom for the win though!

It gets easier the longer you go. Think of it this way, you didn't get to this point in 30 days so don't expect to fix it in 30 days either.

That being said, dude you really need to be careful with Kratom. If your thing was booze, I have to ask... do you have any experience with opiates at all? Because it's a whole different ballgame. I'm saying this as a junkie who's probably going to be on methadone for the foreseeable future if not forever because I literally cannot feel human without it. I know it seems minor and innocent at first, but that's how it always starts with opiates. Very few people go straight to banging street dope. I started with vicodin, which isn't much stronger than good Kratom. It was all fun and I was convinced I had a handle on it ... then when I tried to stop I got sick. Vicodin lead to oxys, then snorting oxys, then snorting heroin, then banging heroin, then within a year and half of the first time I shot up I got arrested 13 times, lived in my car for 6 months then on the streets, spent about $200,000, and ran up about $50k in debt. I've been clean for 5 years and I'm still dealing with the fallout. Opiate withdrawal is one of those things you can read about as much as you want but until you actually experience it you can't truly know what it's like - and that's the easy part. Opiates took everything from me, including the love of my life, and I still want to do them every day. That's how powerful it is. It's a totally different beast from other addictions (and I don't mean to minimize anything else, but just look at the fatality rates). You either stop or it eventually kills you. And it all starts with something like Kratom. So I urge you, please wean yourself down and get away from it as soon as you can if you can.

I get where you're coming from, but I'm only taking 1.5 - 2.5 grams at a time twice a day, always green strain, the more upper strain. I tried the red, downer strain and didn't like it. I've taken 3 grams before and felt like shit, and you're supposed to take like 7 grams to get the opiate like sensation, so I'm not tempted to go there at all.

I was taking six oxycodone 5-325's a day for a month after I had surgery and didn't get hooked at all so I'm fairly confident kratom won't get me. That being said as I get more days under my belt I need kratom less and I'm lowering my doses to a gram, gram and a half per dose. I'm keeping an eye on it, thanks for the concern though
I was standing staring at the world, and I still can't see it

Approximate percentage twenty nerve fibres from the eye are neural tracts. The brain is the neural tract. Connects it do, to the system vestibular LLC. The parts inner ear for brain for help for balance for eye for movements. Key player that emerges! Aha, the joints and muscles. The sensory information is unprecedented from em.
Behold, a disease! The system de vestibular has run the chaos simulation.  Is it a head injury be it aging? It do be a disease. It be that way. The result, must it only be proclaimed, EXTREME DIFFICULTY with balance and movement, the impossibility of perceiving space is truly passionate. Functioning, whether it do be a function of routine daily environments can only he seen as excessive visual stimulation. Perhaps life may be difficult.

This kills the man. But it do not kill the bear.

Stoked today is my boss’s last day because he is a dumb fuck who doesn’t do shit.

Not stoked because a promotion is the reason he is leaving. It’s not a job or anything that I applied for but his boss put him ahead of everyone else that could get it. Other better supervisors. He just got denied because he doesn’t have the experience, his boss gets promoted who he is friends with and then he is magically qualified 2 months later. When you see shit like that, especially when you work for the public and the government and that kind of shit happens even here it makes you kind of frustrated. Then again these people have no personality and their job is their life so I’m stoked I’ve never been like that. Who the fuck wants their life to revolve around office work.

I think I'm developing a dangerous addiction to Amy's frozen cheese enchiladas. The 7-11 across from my place recently started stocking them and they're so easy and delicious. They've really got a hold on me, I'm powerless against them. Fuck you Amy I love you.

I take everything I said back except for the bad stuff. My brains were too fried up to think about fear, consequences, and how to deal with them. Back to my fetish porn.

Sending positivity your way! Hoping that things look better later in your treatment friend

After working myself into a panic about lodging my taxes, I finally went and got them done. Got back 3x what I did last year, from the same salary and job.

Pressures of until next year

So I guess my old avatar gif wasn't working, went with a pic this time because I didn't wanna deal with fixing it. Change is good so mostly stoked and lightly not stoked.
