hey dudes, my fake friends in my fake team and I just finished our fake teams fake full length fake video, if you want to kill some fake time check it out.
It's killer, seriously!!
I have the second part in the first section, but please watch the whole thing, every part is crazy good. These dudes don't mess around.
part 1:
part 2:
part 3:
Im gonna attempt to boil the ocean.
If siskel and ebert could differentiate the nuances between the increased difficulty created with a front feeble in comparison to a front board, even siskel would turn over in his grave and give two thumbs up in the appropriately titled ea skate game video
Further. The attention to detail in the game is nothing short of astounding. From wardrobe changes, double angles, guest cameos, alternations between skate 1 and skate 2 (although the latter is used for the majority of the production), no short cuts were made in the video, which made its three part debut on St. Patricks day on youtube. To begin with, the initial aspect that stood out was the trick selection and the appropriate balance of lines and single tricks. The
Further team carefully walks the line between current day skateboarding and its "Further" progression. In the first part, Robley does a switch backside 180 airwalk at the end of a line. In today's skateboard climate, unless you are Donnie Bianco jumping down love park, this maneuver has been reserved for Lizard. With a sense that the boundaries between hesh and fresh are fading,
Further does not hesitate to push the envelope of today's skating. All the while, Slap Pal "The Bullet" demonstrates the overall awareness of reality, keeping tricks like his nollie backside 360 heel to a single trick. While he could have easily proceeded to 360 flip front blunt double heelflip out manual to infinity, this isnt tony hawk pro skater and we're not enabling cheat codes to defy gravity. Yet while
Further consciously keeps the integrity of skateboarding, a surprising sense of individuality shows through in each part, despite the uniform style mold that is present to each character in the game. Details such as Jason Dill's workshop board and the zero hoody give a small hint into the minds of each game player. Some riders even accentuated knee bend swag as shown in the opening montage. Even song selections can show sense of humor, cue the music for slap anti-christ Berra's "in the beginning there was semen." This brings me to Hesh Field's part. Using Andrew Allen's song from Thrasher's
Prevent this Tragedy, this part embodies the spirit of the project. Perhaps I was reminded of Andrew Allen, but this reiterated the point that fresh and hesh has blurred. With a name like Hesh Field, this does not prevent him from executing tricks that are commonplace for the likes of new jack Cory Kennedy. Perhaps this is the coming of age, when Beauty and the Beast tours open doors for riders like Tony Trujillo to be on Fourstar. This video "furthers" skateboarding as it becomes a visual representation of how skateboarders would skate if they were not typecast (or limited by ability). Hippie jumps and switch back smiths to switch back tail can now show up in the same part. No longer does wearing a trucker hat limit us to skating the kidney pool, because we can ledge dance if we want to. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream, and that dream is being realized as the unspoken walls are being brought down. Perhaps Steve Berra would be more greatly respected if he did not hide his vert past away in the closet. Grant Taylor is nothing but more raw for bringing it padless to the vert. After all, it's all just skateboarding, and
Further is a good reminder of that.
