Gave in and purchased NB 990v3's.
Goddamn they are comfy.
Shits cost more than my goodyear welted dress shoes.
I hope to wear the shit out of the NB's and walk at least 1000 miles.
My wife don't know about the purchase. I'll see her tomorrow, as I return from business trip with the NB's on. Good luck to me explaining out of the splurge.

Most logical purchase you've made... Those NB's are a no brainer!

Damn, loving those NBs. Just tell your wife they will outlast 3 pairs of chillers, so you're actually saving money by purchasing them.

I should have tried 990s last time I was at the outlet. It's like 45 minutes away, maybe for holidays I'll go back. I did end up getting 1080s though and for a high-arched foot like I have, they are some of the best shoes.

I was doing some research and found limited answers so I’ll ask again here:  Cons Fastbreak Pro... TTS?  Half-size down?  Full-size down?

Thanks - I’ve seen TTS, they run half a size big, and they fit small all in different reviews.  Sounds like TTS is a happy medium…

I'm a 8.5 in vans, 8 in chucks, and 9 in nike. I'm literally an 8.75 in the Fastbreaks since I have a pair in 8.5 and 9. But I'd rather skate the 9s

ha ok, they are the only model i've been skating lately – again for me is TTS on the models that have the nylon panel but yeah, the all suede ones (Al Davis all black ones and Carhartt colab) can feel a little more snug at the beginning but not enough to grant going half a size up. i also take out the new insoles and use the older lunarlon ones.

that's my experience

just bought the new Sage's will report back if needed

also Cons ffs don't discontinue this model

Been Skating the Emerica Temples for about a month now. I did super glue that ollie patch patch at the first sign of falling off, but other than that, these have been surprisingly tankish. They have a hidden rubber toe, and G6 insoles. It's beffier than most shoes these days, but I like the old school feel it gave. I'd describe this shoe as a etnies marana made to fit the emerica aesthetic.

From the looks of them, I'll probably wear out the midsole before the upper or outsole.

The laces surprisingly havent torn yet either.

are those some Solomon’s? they look sick.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Two weeks of walking in the 990v3's and I'm in heaven.
Thanks for all the support PALS.
This will sound silly, but my knees feel better.
I even convinced my wife to try them, and she agreed on comfort, but for her these look too much like those middle school running shoes. Too much materials and panelling for her.

Thereby a question - what else could come close in comfort - but with subtle design?

Salomon ACS Pro Advanced. Insanely comfortable, built like tanks. I definitely recommend

Still on the Lakai train

These are certainly the best fitting most comfortable ones I’ve tried on. They feel like they will skate good.

In my opinion, the best model from Lakai right now. I love that colorway but wasn't able to find them. I'd like to try the Telford Lows but not for 100 bucks in fancy colors. I am on my third pair of Atlantic's now and they are good. Just wish the sidewalls would have a bit more stiffness in them. But I also skate my shoes like 4-5 months.
