Always wanted to try a pair of those but I don't like paying more than 50 bucks for shoes.

Just got these. Mainly due to wanting them the first time round and never getting them. They look fairly standard, although the lace loop protectors are great and I like the old round rope like laces. Start skating them soon. DC, as ever fit small, go half a size up.

Cosigning on the Puigs.  Best shoes.

I liked those shoes until I had to put new laces on them after like a day of skating.

thats the only thing that sucks about that shoe. the laces do get eaten up quick. i stopped caring and i just tie them tight at the top and the bottom are all ripped up. but honestly thats the only complaint i have with them. ive been skating the same pair for at least 6 months and the only thing ive worn out is the stitching on the toe cap, which can easily be fixed with shoe goo. granted ive only been skating like once a week since december, but these shoes dont fall apart. the soles are still holding up really well too and have plenty of life left. still super grippy. i have a pair of rowley classics that i got in october and havent even skated in yet and the bottoms on those are in worse shape than than my puigs.

in my opinion you just cant beat this shoe.

If they were smart they'd keep this shoe around. I would definitely buy the OG colorway

^I don't think they'd release the true OG colors in SB.   That'd be too easy, and they've done so many re-releases of it already.  Seriously not creative.  You've got to move forward, not back.  Plus, who'd be able to compete with the collectors?  No normal skater will be able to get their hands on them. Shop employees and friend only.

I disagree completely, based on the fact that almost all of the new SB models in the past years fucking suck, and all the old SB are way better. If they just re-released old models updated with lunarlon and shit, they'd be much better off.
And if they added this Jordan 1 re-release to the main line, and did colorways like dunks and stuff, they'd gain a lot more respect in the skate world. But then again, it's all about money, they don't care whether it's skater money or hypebeast sneakerhead money.

i've been trying to find a pair of puigs around in a decent colorway for so long. i'd really like to try some out, but im not about to buy electric blue shoes. waiting for another run of a black and white colorway.

Thanks to Art Hellman I am firmly back on the Adidas train. Lakai has my full attention when it comes to skate shoes but I couldn't resist this ADV color combo...and they feel insanely good. The heel inserts lock my heel into place and the board feel is excellent. I think I actually like them a little better (so far) than I did the Silas II, and I loved that shoe. Thanks again Art for the recommendation. Also a new pair of Howard's I just put in skate rotation:

These Marc and Howard have been getting the most of my skate lately:

Anybody skated those new Silas shoes yet?  What's going on with the heel/sole.  How likely am I to fold my ankle over ?

I got them and killed my ankle the first time I skated them.. still haven't skated in a few weeks cause of those fucking things, puigs are way better
