They are nice, what are they called? That airwalk sole skates good if I remember correctly
[close]

Its called the sorry I think, some early 90s remake. I'm skating a different pair of airwalks right now and they're so good, especially the sole/grip/toe shape.

breaking in some mikey taylors. so far so good
[close]
Skating these right now and they are amazing.
[close]

Have either of you skated the Howard XLKs? I love them but mine are about to die and I'm contemplating getting a pair of these. They seem comparable.
[close]

I have skated both the Howard's and Mikey Taylor S, the toe cap feel is nearly identical. Just the Howard is longer. I have never ripped a lace in either shoe. If you want a longer lasting shoe.

Get the DC's. The super suede actually works and last for a while.
[close]

What he said. The Howards are a bit thinner and they wore out way faster. The Howards are good but The Taylor is the best shoe. Highly recommended.

yeah, what they said. they skate pretty much exactly the same. very similar feel. the mikeys suck your heel in slightly less than the ricks, and have a thinner, softer collar

Got these for 44.97 at nike outlet at great mall milpitas, they went down to 39.97 if any Bay Area pals are interested. Gonna skate them when my vol. 4 cons are done. I need to break these in first, they felt really weird going from the chucks to these.

Finally was able to ditch these shoes I used in the meat department that smell like moldy rotten dumpster farts

For these to keep me comfy at my new head cashier position I started today.

Those BA's were on the sale wall? No top box cover.

Also, check Nike San Leandro clearance for SB deals.

Got P-Rod pants there for $14, P-Rod 7's, Koston 1 and 2 for $30. Koston Max for $59.

Edit, BA's there as well for $49.

Checked last weekend.

Yea, sale wall on the BAs, how comfy were those Koston Max? If I didn't just buy the roshes I'd be tempted to get those for work.

Never tried on the Koston Max before. I only own the Janoski Max, I am guessing both have the air max in the heel so they're both equally comfortable.

I can walk in the Janoski max forever. Hope they pop up at outlets soon, so I can grab another pair.

will skate them soon...very comfortable, my foot pretty much locked into the shoe, will definitely buy another pair for sure.

Whats the sizing like? Like regular pro's? Was just thinking since there is less padding.. I always get 8 in era pro's and av native, but in regular eras I have to go 8.5 or even 9 almost.

i've worn size 9 vans for a while and these fit pretty true to size, not to tight in the toe. i would just order your normal size, they are definitely roomier than og eras.

back on the Silas SLR... they start to form to your feet perfectly after approx 10hr or so.  my only complaint still is that they dont have center straps for the tongue.  other than that, very solid shoe.

The upper of the Angus here was some kind of synthetic. It was heavy and a bitch to break in. The soles are nearly bald but no ollie hole yet on the upper. This particular colorway was my least favorite but I've had 5 of these shoes. Nobody else seemed to like them and they were cheap on eBay until they dried up. I still use their wonderful pillowy insole in my other shoes like the black Reynolds here.

The Reynolds are alright. They have my bare minimum for a midsole so if you junk the trash insoles they come with and add something more substantial you get a decent skate shoe. I do like the trim (for a cupsole) silhouette but looks wise they aren't too inspiring. The front part doesn't breathe great either. Not super exciting shoes but I got the blue ones from Sole Tech on eBay. $35!

Just got the BAs in the mail, too. They don't look nearly as puffy on my feet as I thought they would, which is nice. Cushioning seems very good but they are super narrow at the arch (and the arch on the shoe feels farther back than where my foot arch is). The inside of my foot is floating over the sole almost an inch, which is weird. Can't decide if they just aren't right for my foot and just send them back or take a $60 chance and see if they break in.

I think the reason the INsole on the reynolds is minimal because of the thickness of the MIDsole. Putting a thicker insole in the reynolds will result in a moon-bootie

I want these. is there the tongue hole for the laces at least? and I don't know if you ever had the Lucas shoe, but do these fit like them? I feel like they are kinda similar.

I almost snagged Ray Barbee Era Pros, but decided to go for the AVE Classics. Both of them are an 8 for me. Also, I wear an 8.5 in regular Eras and Authentics.
