Williams slim from tactics for like $50.

These felt a little weird in hand, but I thought they’d skate pretty great once broken in.

Definitely going to wear them around first to break them in, can't wait to skate them.

How do they fit? Been eyeing those for a while.

A video I have seen said to go down half a size, I went true to size and they fit me perfectly.

Just got the Emerica low vulcs yesterday and they're sick. Had them twice before and they skate great. Take little to no time to break in. The newer ones come with a G6 insole that's removable and better quality than the older ones in my opinion. Highly recommend these for sure.

I saw in the setup thread you were rocking some maroon Maranas also. Do the tongues shift to side for you? I have a white pair and those fuckers won’t stay up for shit.

I’ve skated a handful of Maranas (one of my favorite shoes) and it’s been a problem since before they introduced the Michelin soles.  ::) My solution is to lace up to the top eyelet and use the lace loop on the tongue. That helps keep it pretty stable, but it’s not perfect. I can live with some shifting, so it doesn’t bother me much

Been close to 6 years skating nothing but Reynolds (first the Low, then G6).
Just a couple pairs left.
I'm kind of nervous, but excited, to try something new.

Reynolds shoes were so good at Emerica! Stopped skating a pair of the G6 as soon as the news broke.
I’m with you, Jay. An anniversary or retro model release would Ben amazing to see. Hopefully you can find a pair somewhere to try em

I'm currently using the AA Authentic Hi's and so far the popcush insole is holding up really nice. Much more firm and supportive than Ultracush.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, using all the bells and whistles but still not working for me. I may just be really picky though.

No problem. Everyone’s got preferences and different feet, so I get it. I was gonna say thick socks but that may not work. I definitely don’t wanna suggest Rambo lacing em either to solve the sliding problem, but it could work.
An alternative if you like Etnies/Michelin soles is the Joslin 1. They have tongue straps and a similar fit to the Marana. The Joslin 2 might be even better but I haven’t tried yet

Emerica dissent. Bummed these have been discontinued. Probably the most classically 'skate' styled shoe from emerica in the last 15-20 years

The Rowans and Halfcabs I’ve been rocking seem like they will hold up. If you get eras/authentics or slip ons they are definitely gonna blow out quicker. The half cab pros i am skating have been perfect, straight out the box. My Rowans pinched my pinky toe first sesh in, but only on one foot so ima break those in a little before skating in them more.

You were skating aj1s for a while yeah?
How’s the rowans and half cabs feeling after that?
Vans skate so well, but I need to lose some weight before I skate in them regularly. Cripplers

I feel like I've seen these pop up a decent amount lately. Maybe on Poshmark? I also did some googling and saw a few pairs on Parade so maybe check there.

Have bought a few pairs of shoes while stuck inside. Got the Dill snakeskin Sambas because Labor had my size as their last pairs so why not? They look so insane in person I kinda love it. I never plan on skating them but they're fun to wear. I also have a pair of Spanky G6s in white/olive but they;re at my parent's place so haven't gotten a chance to wear them at all yet. Finally, have a pair of Proper Rooks that I'm excited to skate but from my few times wearing them, I need to break in. The balls of my feet are sore from walking around in them. But I hope they'll break in soon because I feel like they'll be great for skating in.

I bought these last year when zumiez had them on clearence. Such a good solid skate shoe. Recently found them again at this site rogan's shoes. They're a family owned shoe store from Wisconsin. Bought two pairs for myself and they have a ton of sizes in stock.

Here is the update I promised, These are about 7-8 sessions in maybe 2-3 hours each session.
I super glued the hot spots so they would hold a bit longer.
I really liked the AL D ones I had, these for whatever reason don't feel as good for flip tricks. I've got a couple new pairs of cons coming Tuesday so ill probably give these one more sesh before retiring them.

I just checked parade and rogans, dont have my size unfortunatley. (Im an shrimpy man and wear size 7 shoes)
Really solid shoe though. Only 3 sessions deep but theyve gotten better everytime. I was exclusively riding reynolds g6 before these, always liked how these looked more, but I wanted that g6 sole ::). I have an extra pair at my moms place but might just hold em.

Really interested in those white/olive spankys as my summer skate shoes. Love white shoes in the warmer months

Bought these Vans AV Rapidwelds a year or two back and immediately threw them aside and forgot all about them. Fast forward to just a few days ago, was rummaging through a pile of random junk in my apartment and found them at the bottom of the pile, I forgot I even had them, they’re still brand new and everything; score! Gonna skate them today, they feel comfy; not sure why I threw them aside right after I got them. Please forgive the crumpled socks.

Rothco’s?
Shoes look dope here, on foot.
I’m so lazy and inflexible I just looked at them and sighed thinking about how long they’ll take to lace up
