As soon as there is a black/white colorway. I'm in. I've been on the 440's for a while.

Breaking in one of my last pairs of Crockett Highs I stockpiled. It's been almost a year since I last skated a pair of these so I'm curious to see if they'll still be my number one skate shoe.

Telford is a crap shoe in the body of a great shoe. I've had 2 pair, both, just generally bad. Not durable, and the sole is just bad. Kyonosuke makes them look good.

I meant to post this in the setup thread, but gold on highlighter trucks looks great. In general, I've always been a fan of the gold truck. If only they could make them gold all the way to the axle.

anyway

I'm liking them a lot, I'm quite surprised since my feet are really picky. They're on my top 3 alongside 1010 and 808. Like them better than AS-1

Always wanted to try a pair! Anybody else stockpile shoes they really like? Last year I bought like 3 pairs of the leather authentic hi's because I loved them so much. This is my 4th pair of these, my latest obsession:

Cons needs to make the all black suede version of the fastbreak they dropped a few years ago a consistent part of the line.

I'm on my 3rd pair of Crockett highs right now. Perfect skate shoe for me which is surprising because historically Vans have not been comfortable or durable shoes for skating imo.

Also, jealous af of those Fastbreaks. Love that colorway. I've been wanting a pair for ages, but cannot find them anywhere in person where I'm at. I don't like buying shoes online that I haven't had the chance to try on irl. Do you skate them or just have them as chillers?

The Crocket Highs have always tempted me, there have been some great colorways! As for these Fastbreaks, if you buy online I'd go a half size down from what you wear in Vans. Since they're leather/suede, they fit a bit more snug than the Fastbreaks made of that nylon material. I skated a pair of these ones tts and they worked alright, but there was a bit too much room, especially after they were broken in. I've been lucky to find pairs in my size from SPoT and NJ Skateshop recently, but their numbers are becoming very limited.

Initial- TTS. Very form fitting, forefront feels broken- in out of the box, heel feels stiff. Better than average flex from mid foot to toe. Average insole. Slightly weird arch support on the outside edge. Literally just pulled them out of the box. Coming from a broken in pair of AVE’s they feel like a two session break in…

Edit- great heel lock

The Crockett's are my favourite shoe to skate as well. I love the waffle cup sole, really great board feel but with more shape and support. Cushy heel protection. The heritage boot way they are shaped is also super functional - I haven't really encountered it before in the vans line or elsewhere. I kinda hope Vans does a slightly more beefed up version.
I've been eyeing the BMX line if wafflecups. Especially the mid.

Butter Goods Selector denim and then I added elastic to the cuffs with a cord lock so the openings are adjustable, which I do to most of my pants.

Thank you! They look amazing. I can’t find those Converse in Japan. I’m going to Europa in 2 months and I can’t find them there. Are they USA only shoes? :o

Then I will try to search on Google when I’m in Europe. The results are very different when searching from Japan. Thank you!

Are these worth the price?    I’m a little wary, especially because it’s a Hansel shoe

It could totally just be freak accidents/my own fault, but I’ve had my 3rd ankle roll in tyshawns along with a few teaks here and there. So my question is could it be a shoe prone to ankle rolls and have others experienced a higher frequency of sprains in them? Anyone have shoes they recommend that are harder to get ankle rolls in?
