Maybe if I didn't waste all my money on shoes my computer monitor would be held up by something other than old encyclopedias and Guinness world record books. These surely aren't the right pants or socks (white) for these shoes but I didn't feel like changing while I break 'em in. The soles on these Mike Arnold handball joints feel grippy as all hell but not sure that I'm going to skate them. Time to slap my stinky old Busenitz on and go skate. Yeah, I got a thing for Adidas. +2 points for both shoes coming out of one pant leg illusion.

Right back 'atcha, truly illusionary framing, possibly of historical significance. I wanted those Mike Arnold handball joints, still do I reckon, too bad my tiny little baby feet have a hard time finding the right size at my local (yes I know there is this new thing called the internet). Have a gnar for your troubles good sir!

GT ones don’t have as much padding as the Mids, especially around the heel.

I also like skating in Jordan 1's, but they're not necessarily skate shoes so giving them that title feels disgraceful to skateboarding as a whole. also shoes that skate well for you don't necessarily skate well for others.
that's just my take tho

Definitely.   Ah I’m close but I don’t think I have it in me to pull the trigger for that much.

Keep your eyes on that sale thread, you know you'll be able to get them for 80 soon.  Also for those of you on the fence and can't try them on in person ... they are stiff as fuck (there are pros and cons to that) and I went .5 up.  Feel like I could have went tts but they would have been more snug than I would have liked.  Trade off is the potential for a slight heel slip vs snug toe box.  Take your pick.  I am loving them and am willing to discuss pros/cons if anyone doesn't feel like doing a bunch of research haha.

Have you skated in these yet? Heard people who went TTS on the 808 say felt fine for casual wear but then they should’ve gone .5 size up after skating in them

Always .5 up in the 808 imo unless you like your shoes real snug or maybe have narrow feet (I can't answer that part)

Honestly with the 808 you could even go one full sizeup from your tts in vans or nike.

I had the first 1010 cw and it was TTS for me, but thanks for the info guys, seems like .5 up is the way to go for 808s

They fit a little snug at first but once they've been broken in they're super comfy.  TTS I would say

Definitely a little snugger than the 1010 and not as comfortable, but I just couldn't say no to the price.

[close]
Why wouldn’t you just buy blazer lows?

In theory you're right, but the tooling on the Mid is noticeably different from the Low (& different from Low GT/Low GT Pro) and if you look at photos side by side or have pairs in person you can see how they're built differently.

The toe box, mid foot, amount of collar padding, and sole all feel different (even if slightly) on the mid. The Mid offers a "bubbled" toe box where it's almost like a cupsole where the upper sits above the vulc wrap. The Low is almost flush (regular low and GT Pro) Personally, this gives Blazer Mid some of the best flick across the board since it's a sweet balance between rubber/upper.

Taking those pros of a mid and  chopping them into a modified Low sounds like a good time if you like qualities of the Pro but a lower cut.

I loved skating the Mids and am tempted to skate mine again

OG Blazer Lows had a structured toe cap, back when they first dropped in the early 00's. The GT Blazers got rid of some of the stiffer structure behind the suede, assuming for flexibility. The GT is pretty floppy compared to a lot of shoes.
